As a warrior of three straight years, it is an insult to me as a player and PvPer. I am already deeply disappointed and upset that arena net would take a class that I have enjoyed so much and put so much effort into perfecting since the games release and absolutely kitten ON IT.
Now I have to enter solo queue and listen to some pleb who has maybe PvPd for six months tell me to switch because the “pros” say the class isn’t good enough? GREAT!..What more do I have to do?

…Everything that is happening right now is a god kitten shame.

Play what you like, if you’re enjoying the class it is all that matters. Don’t mind the others.

I tried some weird Sword/Torch and longbow condi build. It really does wonders on nodes while not 1v1’ing. Can easily burst down bunker mesmers, plus all the aoe condi damage is just sick. Playing similar kind of necro might be more efficient, but oh well, you are a warrior!

I actually had a match a couple days ago, I was rolling war, and we had 2 elems and a thief, playing against DH/Chrono/ and some others, maybe a rev, not too sure.

Anyway, before the match starts, one of the eles swaps char, I was thinking to a rev or something, loads in, and boom, another warrior lol.

So the other ele in our team puts in map chat: 2 war, 1 thief… GG

Game goes on… long story short, we win by like 100points.

Just thought it was funny that someone actually swapped TO war before the match, and it was glorious lol.

Kidding right? I’ve been successful on Necro since Dhuumfire. Mesmer was just fine prepatch as well- blink mirror blade wasn’t a secret art. The one you are looking for was Ranger.

even the best warrior player is a liability to his team right now. i say that as someone who has played warrior in pvp for 3 years. have some decency and don’t que with warrior. not in ranked.

Regarding old school shatter Mesmer: the thief matchup, as well as dps warrior/guardian matchup made Mesmer a liability unless you were the king of portals.

Regarding necromancer: warrior hardcounter was also pretty rough and the condi builds were pushed out of the meta by shoutbow and others, leaving you with a 3rd rate zerker build that relied on autoattacks and passive procs boosted 50% by downstate and lich form to do anything.

The trait rework helped them so much.

I agree it helped, but I hadn’t had any troubles on them in AGES. Then they got buffed. Still makes me sad, read sig for why. Off note, I am allowed to hate Rev players who think they are good and that the class doesn’t carry/play for them- right? I recognize good ones, but most are uh…well they are uhm, bad? Ye, lets be nice and just say bad

Don’t pay attention to them. I’d rather have someone who is an expert in his class than a mediocre op spec. A very tight class comp only matters if you’re competing in tourneys. It matters in ranked too but not as much. In soloQ, as long as you understand rotations and what to do in fighting encounters, you’ll be fine

I’m playing warrior in pvp in thief-style, without the vanishing.
