Will there be new SPVP MAPS like capture the flag?
How can Arenanet prevent ppl from zerg-farm in the middle ? :P
Or having 5 players istantly blow up the flagman ? :P

I agree with you. Never liked Jade Quary in GW1, can’t stick around here if there’s no options like HA or RA in GW2. RA is the only thing that kept me entertained in GW1. Quick fun matches.
GW2 has so much potential with its FPS style but the cap point system is BORING.

By having the flag grant a buff? Seriously it’s not too hard to think of SOMETHING, ANYTHING except point caps.
Honestly, I want to see Capture the Leader and TDM looks like it’d be really fun.
Can you imagine trying to kill the flag carrier when he’s a tank spec guardian? Also mesmer portal becomes actually the most broken kitten in game.
Why does everyone keep jumping straight to CTF? How about TDM or CTL?
Anyway, as to your concerns? Guardian easy, when holding a flag you can’t use your regular skills as you are no longer holding a weapon/s.
Mesmer, objects can be made not to be brought through portals. Even if they could, I don’t think the portal is that devastating due to the amount of time it stays up. The objections to CTF are getting a little ridiculous.

You have my word! CPT would not be boring if you made it as you would play it IRL, that means, not the stupid normal cpt rules but just as if it was irl, with dividing the map in two, having a jail, the team has to hide the flag themselves, in a huge forest terrain!
I was saying this in a similar thread earlier…..but if you look at the way PVP flows and the mechanics involved….it seems Anet balanced GW2 very specifically for point capture PVP. I think TDM or CTF or most of the normal go-to match types would play very poorly given the way GW2 is setup.
TDM, seriously. Go join any room at random, don’t play cap the points, guarantee you there will be at least one person that does that for you, just run with the rest of the zergfest to get as many points as possible from enemy kills.

Will there be any new spvp modes anytime soon? I got kinda bored doing the same style of spvp in a few hours. I am not trolling just trying to help Arena Net
Try a different part of the game. You’re not helping.
If you want “flag man” maps then go play Rift. That piece of crap has no end of “flag man” maps.
