Just what they said in the SotG it seemed like Jon Peters said he is obsessed with heals and that he doesn’t want all the heals to suck. It is well known that warrior heals are terrible. The maths dictates that a 25 second heal with only cures 1/5 of your HP isnt a good heal.
However if they made mending a shout then you could stack it with shout healing to make a warrior support build instantly more viable. It would give 1 more condi removal (with solider runes) per 25 seconds and would give about 1500 more heal to the 5500 heal of mending without healing power. So mending would heal for about 7200 or so I reckon.
This would be a pretty cool change. The reason I say this is Jon Peters (at 40 minutes in the SotG) also said something about shouts and heals. Pure speculation as I think he was describing his point but would be a cool change to improve the warrior
It would make shout warriors almost viable I think espicially if coupled with a reword of the tactics minor traits for the warrior.
Now I know this is meant for a diff thread. But in WvW we have fight clubs and I get a warrior down to 1/4 HP he uses a heal and then is back up to full HP. Do you have any clue on how this would work as it is simply no 1/5 heal.

only the healing surge has a heal rate of that at full adren but the other 2 heals are pretty bad imo.

You are complaining about a 5.5k heal? Thats pretty much higher than what other classes have, the problem is that warrior’s hp is so huge it feels like you heal low.
The only higher heal is the guardian one which heals like 7k
It isn’t a bad idea but even then, shouts doesn’t make your survivability higher than making plays around Balanced Stance, Signet of Stamina, and Healing Surge after clearing poison.
You’d force warriors to spec out something they might not normally want just to run a decent heal. Why?
