By this, I am referring to the times in SPVP when your character goes into downstate, you are knocked off point, and left to slowly bleed out. I want an option for my character to just end it so I can start playing again and having fun as fast as possible.

This will help the team that lost the fight and needs to recover so they can get back into the fight at a reasonable rate. Just consider it please

It’s strategic to let someone bleed out and not stomp, as long as there isn’t an ally to res, in order to keep them out of the game. Why take away that strategy? I know it’s not fun sitting there, but take that time to communicate with your team on where the enemy is going, or reinforce your plan etc.

on one hand it would take away strategic gameplay in the sense of leeting someone bleed out, on the other hand it would bring strategic gameplay in the sense of killing yourself to prevent the opponent (which has low hp and is suspected to drop soon) from rallying.
i have no opinion on this yet.

PS: people talking about fun in pvp want to make me vomit. you don’t play pvp for fun you do it so you can make other people lose. casuals nowadays ….

Could always log in and out which would probably be the most tryhard thing nobody has done, but it’s an interesting idea since it pretty much allows a team to reset together (almost) and regroup. The only downside to this would be removing the offensive sides point of view in that you can delay 1 person bleeding and have an advantage on every other point + 15 secs. I like the idea from a regrouping point of view but don’t like taking away strategy from knowing when to stomp a target or not when you are being the aggressive side.

small edit: I think if it was implemented it has to be put on a timer greater than your #3 skill by a few seconds, maybe 2s more? Most of the time you barely use the 3 skill and when you can you are being bled out?

This will make it so there is actual strategy though, it would be a strategy to time deaths to rez as a team and not get bled and staggered. No one runs builds specifically for punting people off point so don’t argue that teams build around this mechanic. Also, the fact remains that it is different per class, some classes, like rangers and eles almost always get stomped because they can mist back on point or rez themselves, this simply leaves other classes SOL.

Unless you aren’t a total noob, you shouldn’t heal yourself when there is no chance for rally, and this ,,boredom’’ won’t last long.

I’ve been at 1% health, only to get an instant rally, or a rampaging warrior swooping in out of no where to save you. Or thinking it’s a loss cause when i’m getting heavily cleaved, only to be proven wrong when your team shows up and actually heal through all the AoE damages. Additional strategies is letting a player bleed off point, AoE cleaves instead of stomps, and a smart Mesmer portal setup. Most players have no idea when they’re going to get saved or not so saying “it’s an obvious loss” isn’t exactly accurate.

The downplays in the game adds another layer of strategy. The only thing you’ll be doing is dumbing down a game for these particular players in Solo PvP that prefer to “suicide” instead of thinking smarter or improving their spvp experience by going premade. A “Suicide” option would be very unhealthy for any newer players working their way up the competitive ladder, considering the first thing he’ll learn is to auto kill himself.

Some incredible plays have been made at the very last second in downed fights. You’ll be removing potential strategic scenarios if a “suicide” function was added.
