I was playing a game but got disconected in the end because of the weather but we won, it gave me a chest wen i logged in but in the leaderboards it registered as a lose. should not registered as a lose coz i win the game.. not fair

Leaderboards take an hour to update, are you sure it was that game specifically that registered as a loss?

yup thats my first game in two days and i havent played any teams for now after dat win coz im getting dc

disconect or leave is same for arenanet and have to be even when your team win the match

otherwise ppl would exploit it

how do u exploit it? if u win a game and got dc u should still get the w. coz who would get an intentional dc if u win?

Same happened to me few days ago. It’s how their system works.

Hi. Rezz,. I hope they can fix this. but ofcourse if your team is lose and you try to disconnect it should count as a lose. but for a winning team and you disconnect it should count as a win. can they do that?

hahaha adik ka king certified… sometimes the ladderboard doesnt update right away so you have to wait for your win/lose to register.

arenanet punishes disconects as leavers , same happened to me , after ~20 wins in a row im still not back to my previous rating

q: who would get an intentional dc if u win?

there always leavers and would there team win 4v5 you think it would be ok to give the leaver a win and a chest?

sry – arenanet cant say ppl leave intentionaly or have a disconect – its not possible so they say “you are not ingame you do not win” – simple, sometimes unfair but most of the time correct

get over it and play some more – 1 match is nothing

Who cares about rating?

I can see this guy looking at the leaderboard after every win. Obsessed with a number, as he freaks out and sees a loss and cry’s out nooo! “I must now complain on the forums, I have lost my precious rating!”

Unfortunately your best solution is to simply not disconnect. It’s intended to punish leavers, and a small minority of the game has been affected by this system.

There is a built-in time window for the system to judge whether a player is a DC or a leaver. Normally if you DC and then quickly re-connect, the game will not count you as a leaver. Also, leaver counts as an automatic loss, even if you were on the winning team.

However, at the very end of the match, any disconnected players are automatically swallowed up into the “THEY ARE LEAVERS, PUNISH THEM” window. So, unfortunately the op may have disconnected at the worst time possible.

I can definitely confirm on the grace period when someone disconnects. I’ve had a few games where our bunker dced out and got back in 3 minutes later and it still counted as a win for him.

But yes its true many people could care less, that’s why this game will never become esports because in esports everyone cares about there rating. People secretly do care about there own rating but when it comes to other peoples rating, they could care less, that 200th placer on team leaderboard, nobody could care about him, hes probably the 10th best guardian but since team leaderboard is so corrupt and flawed, it makes him look like he has a bad rating.

However in general people could care less about ratings because its so flawed, therefore this game isn’t esports. If GW2 is esports then its like badminton in sports today, which I don’t really call a major sport. Nobody cares about the badminton ratings, nobody cares whose 2nd best and such unlike basketball where people have several different people that they call the best.

In starcraft you don’t have people running 2nd and 3rd accounts or phony accounts and get to rank 19 on leaderboards then never play it anymore, in starcraft the ratings are important, it does mean something, if you see someone with high rating they are good, its highly unlikely its there 2nd or 3rd or phony account because it takes hard work to get that high. Also its quiet stupid to buy another starcraft account just to redo all that hard work so you can have 2 or 3 accounts and leaderboards and such.

This is GW2 of today, the team leaderboard wasn’t always teams, many of those people on the leaderboard on team leaderboard could have 2 or more accounts just wasting space because people didn’t want to hurt there main account rating. That’s why they should’ve reseted the team leaderboard because it was during the time when several people were buying another account and more just to preserve there rating.

Back to my statement, if a game wants to become esports people must care about ratings. As of right now I can tell you many people don’t care. However this is just one of many things a game needs to become esports. Major in game tournaments is another thing.
