It probably was just a mirage. The very next match was back to normal. The other team did make 200 points though, which surprised me.

I just came back to the game this week and started PvP. I’m still in shock how almost every match seems to be so lopsided.

Look, I just want you to understand that if you bought the game in 2012, you would be really happy with how pvp is right now in beta X-2 matchmaking/ladder/etc. Everything will be fixed in PvP when HoT is released-really! Now most competitive games would have you believe that both teams playing each other would have a fair chance of winning. That is why GW2 PvP is LIGHT YEARS ahead of any esports competition. You can log in and play a game with 0-20% chance of winning vs 80-100% chance of winning on the other team and realize how awesome you are. No, really! It is pretty amazing to think that you should even be able to get 200 points with a 0% chance of winning. I mean, do any devs play PvP at all-I mean I am talking about the 5 assigned to PvP. But hey, other people creating competitive video games try to match people with skill levels so the match outcome really isn’t decided. Seriously who signed off on this crap? Arenanet is the company I want to most work for. Honestly. I figure I wouldn’t show up to work a single day, make promises out of my kitten , and they would never even consider firing me.

You guys on NA or EU servers? Cause playing on NA lately, all my matches yesterday aside from one match was a close match, each team scoring at least 450 points. The one match that was a landslide, was simply because they were missing 2 players and it became a 5v3.

I have had a few games where we couldn’t tell which team won at first. Those are some fun games.

I’ve won several games that were 500-0. I felt bad.
I also won a “Legacy of the Foefire” yesterday with a score of 602-200something

I didn’t think the matches could get any more lopsided, but I was wrong. Post 23 Jun 15 patch, worse than ever. /sigh

You can’t speak from your experience only. For example, I played seven games yesterday, and in three, the score was 500-49x, and the others were interesting as well. Not saying that the matchmaking’s better, but I don’t think it is worse

Just finished a match where people were complaining about this. Final score was 501-48. /sigh

Part of the problem is the players themselves. Yesterday I had a match where we were down 300-150 and one player on our team decided it wasn’t worth playing anymore and afkd in the spawn area. So it ended up about 500-200. This happens a lot.

If you’re only playing for points you’re doing it wrong. Have some self respect.

I had a dude rage quit because he saw our thief fighting off point…in front of the enemy trebuchet. We were actually winning by a good margin, but apparently his father was killed in an off-point fight or something because he told us we were all terrible and just left. We would have easily won with him- as it was, the final score was 405-500. :/

Not to long ago I was in a match. We were up by a good amount, but all of a sudden, they captured all 3 points. Our team got very unorganized, and the final scored ended up being 498 to 500…. them…

It should have been an easy win for us, but overall it was a fun match.

I have had my fair share of 500/500 endings were both teams get win xD
