honestly no idea what you are talking about…ppl get mad because the meta build they have been running for months gets changed to a new meta build…patch has been live for a few hours and your already complaining before anything has even had time to settle….don’t forget to close the door on your way out.

GW2 stil has the best PvP of any MMO out there, unless you just really enjoy winning fights because you grinded longer than your opponent for gear or got really lucky with RNG drops, lol!
But please, take a breath and a break from the game. If you’re not happy with the game balance as it is only a few hours after the biggest balance change since launch, then just play something else until stabilizes here.
I can’t recommend anything better as far as interesting PvP, but if you want to mess with a free MMO that has interesting combat, you could give Tera a try, I guess.
It’s a change, it will balance, but last patch was not viable in my opinion as one whole profession was being left out from the meta game and it was just becoming boring. Don’t hate the changes, find a way to beat them as best you can and at the end of the day you have achieved something. Goodluck and see you in theory crafting.

Apart from the fact there are some really broken stuff (pu for example), I don’t think it’s a rocket science to figure out the damage that can be dealt is in complete inbalance to hp and armour pools. I’m not saying that the game is broken, but it will definitely need some balance.

WoW PvP is skill based, it’s just not twitch combat like GW2. It’s absolutely terrible outside very specific situations, since it boils down to just cc chains and gear barriers a lot of the time. But, it can be fun in some match ups because of how many skills you need to manage for some classes. It’s like a game of simon says almost. They use X, so you need to counter their CD by using Y, and they counter that with their own. Whoever messes up their counter or gets into a situation where they waste them somehow takes some price (eg. rogue getting a full burst combo off). GW2 doesn’t really have that same methodical approach to combat, it’s just wtfteleport holy kitten thief mistform and then you go one shot a guardian. You have less options (less skills), but you also need to react a lot faster (time to kill is far far faster in gw2, especially for some xpacs like cataclysm where everyone was as tanky as a d/d ele). That’s basically the difference.

No he’s right, game is totally broken. Some classes are insanely powerful with power builds….they can 2 shot classes with low hp pool easy. Something is wrong, they wanted to buff condi dmg and broke all other. They need to fix this asap.

I haven’t played wow in the past 3 years, but I heard it was incredibly dumb’ed down to cater to the casuals. As someone that played arena exclusively otherwise I can assure you that Balance and WoW did not belong in the same sentence.
Saying that because GW2 has faster paced combat make it less skillful makes no sense to me, if anything its the otherway around….I guess play WoW if you prefer slower paced combat, but make sure you have a loldruid on your team #balanced
maybe the larger scale rated BG’s are more balanced…but GW2 doesnt have 10v10 so there’s nothing to compare that to.
and tbh I dont understand why people are complaining about balance 5 hours after a huge patch that shifts the entire meta…If anyone is getting 2 shot it’s cuz they are still running zerkers for reasons that are beyond me. Everyone is running around in gimmick builds that will never be seen again till they figure out the new meta…patience is key here…check back in 2 weeks once the dust settles, you will have an easier time

It’s dumbed down but it’s still far more complex. That’s because GW2 is incredibly dumbed down to cater to casuals. I mean, I’m saying this as a GW2 player. I’m just bored of WoW, so there’s that, but objective enough to make informed claims on the topic.

World of warcraft is so hard because you have like 20 abilites most wow players are like superhumans and very smart individuals because they can do these super complex rotations, not too mention the combat system has so much depth to it the tab targetting is truly what makes mmos great.
Did I mention that because wow players press more buttons they are more mechanically skilled than starcraft pros, because you know apm doesnt matter that much. It’s all about the rotatoes.
