.. you judge your teams overall fashion rating and deem it unworthy
When
-the forest npc alone kills your thief
- your teammate who has been giving "instructions " to the team laughs at you when you run to protect the lord who is getting attacked by 3 enemies because : “he needs no protect-none can kill the lord-only a 5 man team”
-you have a self appointed team leader who spends most of the match on start typing instructions and calling the team idiots
-certain teammates getting constantly killed because they rush on a point alone thinking they will 1v3 easy
-you find yourself constantly trying to rez the same teammate
… Team starts stereotyping other players but get rekt badly within the first 3 minutes
…. Team member throws a temper tantrum and refuses to leave spawn
…. Team member stalks you for the rest of the night for playing a class he didn’t like
…. You end up carrying the team and still listen to them QQ the whole game.

I laughed — no I didn’t. I don’t know how many bad experiences you’ve had, but me myself, the build I uses focuses on that signet for duplicating my last clone.
I kill “decent players with half a brain” commonly. Yes, there are hard counters like with any other class and build out there, but I can say for sure the Signet isn’t the cause of a Mesmer being a hindrance to a team.
And to add to this post because it just happened:
-When you get downed, 2 allies are right next to you and 1 ones off while the other just watches you while 1 person strolls along and stomps you.
When you see MM necromancers roaming around points instead of defending, and everyone just zergs to random places losing all caps and then complaining that their teammates suck.
When you see all your teammates are zerker, are killing opponents, but doesn’t realize they are playing gw2 pvp conquest instead of deathmatch, so basically other team wins by capping and defending points.
When my team doesn’t understand rotation and goes for 3 0 2 split, gets wiped at far and then snowball to home, gets 3 capped.
this thread makes me laugh, but the only absolute 100% immediate signs of failure are
- when someone comes home at start with you to help cap (but if you leave, they follow you without capping????)

everything else, there’s always a chance.
3 mesmers isn’t actually that bad if the enemy team is not full premade and has no thieves.

When the entire team just ignores home completely right out the gate and you have to backtrack to cap it.
Wouldn’t you be equally at fault for this one?
Well, Im a thief, defending points is not my specialty.
So one I had to backtrack to said point and now try to 1v2 whatever just showed up, thief is out of the game backtracking and then out of +1 on any fights coming up and likely will have to bail on that 1v2 unless the players are absolutely bad
The only time I ever cap home is on spirit watch, and thats because I generally run the back line 100% and even that bit me the other day when two FA eles both burst me together.
On top of that so many after I +1 their fight will try to run off and not cap the point and leave me to cap it. Im like hey where you going? Thats my job to run off.
With mobility like IA and Shadowstep, I always cap home before heading to run off and +1 fights. It allows the other professions who can survive the initial brawls better to get there faster. If you like to go far at first…well, I dunno what to tell you there, you probably shouldn’t go far right off the bat xD

…you end up in 1vs2 or 1vs3 no matter what you do or where you go because your teammates are either perma-dead or fighting somewhere off point all the time
