You're gonna lose. Stop crying about it.
People in ranked get so kittened when they lose it’s not funny. And I usually mean my team, cause i’m in the bottom half of pvp’ers, and yes, at times i can be a liability.
Well newsflash Sherlock: you gonna lose and …yeah and what?
There are no real winners at pvp, save three groups:1. the select few premades that make it into ESL and compete for actual real life prizes. If you’re in solo queque, that’s not you, buddy.
2. The ones who learn to calm their anger and emotions and as result perform better in pvp. Though the real win here is the self control, that you can take into rl with you.
3. The ones who plainly have fun, even if they don’t win.
So seriously stop crying all day about a lost pip or even 3. Don’t like it, improve. Don’t like your team? Make a premade. But seriously stop foaming at the mouth cause you lost. That’s pvp for you. Don’t like it, don’t play it.

-Guild Wars 2

But how about losing 17 pips?
It’s not losing I mind, it’s having bad enough losing streaks where I’m worried about getting flagged for MMR tanking. There was a game where I actually told the team to rush lord because we’re losing anyway so it’d be the best way to avoid losing two pips.
Just wait till I start going for those ranked win achieves on all professions that I have no goddang idea how to play. Fear me being on your team as a mesmer!
People aren’t complaining about losing, but rather having unwinnable matchups given by matchmaking way too often.
Imagine playing casualy in Starcraft II in some bottom tier and being matched vs pros…

In a league system where everyone starts at the lowest league at the start of a season that actually should happen. The real problem is getting matched with much weaker players who’ll leave you to die in a 4v2 at mid while they all rush beast or thieves who rush in with shortbow 5 and won’t even benefit from your overload attunement share or have the initiative for when they’ll really need it.

You mean in horribly designed system, where pros can exploit to get matched below their own rating?
After the first week of league season i realised that i didn’t want the back piece enough to grind for it or MMR manipulate for it. Once i accepted that fact i enjoyed my soloq/Duoq matches much much more.
“Buff my main class, nerf everything else. "

All I’m hearing here is some bla bla from someone who should queue for unranked matches, or, if the system wouldn’t be a pile of kitten, would be playing in amber/emerald
for an eternity.
Since it s the point to have fun, he/she wouldn’t care one bit about where he/she is playing.

I believe in rating floors and only teaming with those within 10% MMR to avoid such abuse while doing away with the need for manipulation in the first place. If good players rank out of amber they shouldn’t be seeing those ambers again until they rank out. Let’s say we have a rank 500 team on average facing off against a 20th percentile team in amber. They rank out and in emerald face 40th-70th percentile players, rank out of that then face teams between 71th-85th percentile in sapphire. Then they beat the 86th-98th percentile players in ruby, then the top 1.5th percentile players in diamond and finally reach legendary where they belong and face off against other top 500 teams. After a couple of weeks everyone will be in a division representing their skill level after radical adjustments and loophole closing. In other words if two legendary teams rank out of amber the first day of the season they won’t meet in emerald because it would compromise the seeding but only face players whose MMR are emerald tier while they’re still ranking.

Arrogant post… i havent seen one person complain about losing… ive seen a lot of people complain about bad match making and losing pips under ridiculous circumstances making completely valid arguments against a broken system.
It sounds to me like you may have been one of the manipulators to take this kind of attitude.

There is quite a bit of foaming going on out there right now. Not certain if that means the risk/reward system is working or not but it does seem to trigger emotion in people. Don’t like matches that are stacked against you from the start either though so agree there, but good points above.
