Yes, it would be interesting to see when you jump into the base before the match:
Your team is the underdog and is calculated to have a 14% chance of winning this match.
If you win, your MMRs will be increased by 19% !!
If you lose, your MMRs will be lowered by 1.5%
Good luck and have fun! The match begins in 00:45."

That is a bit too much to ask for, I suppose since it required variant source for rank, complex mathematic for calculation, psychology adjustment, etc, etc… It would be cool to have it though. But considers side affect of knowing the odd of wining, since we have so many afk or leave mid-match already. Led me ask you that if the odds is under 10%, do you still want to play the game? As long as the mental of thinking only for themselves, ignore team’s benefit, this system would di more harm than good.
Proud player of : team [uA] – team [TGI]. Australia base, now recruiting.
How complicated and useless feature that would be..You basically ask for the game to tell you that you suck and that you should give up the match already!Just wow

I dont think “15 char” means what you think it means :P
As the OP said, I believe ELO uses the odds to calculate the MMR adjustments. So it does know the odds in advance. It tries to have even matches if possible ; but it will adjust MMRs based on lopsided matches, as I envisioned above.
Right now there are a lot of lopsided matches.
I think it would help player’s to know in advance that they are not favored to win this match, so they won’t think they just suck if they lose. And that if they can pull it off, there will be a big reward.

It just means you are rated lower than the other team at the moment, based on who they have beaten already. The MMR is what it is using.
Nothing can make you more likely to lose a match than the game telling your entire team “good luck, lol, you’re not likely to win this one”

I would rather know, myself. I start to suspect it anyway when the other team takes a 150-pt lead fairly quickly. This would at least let me know it’s not just that I am playing worse than my average when they do that.

You mean like in the NFL when a team is heavily favored to lose in the current betting line?

Anyone here quite knowledgeable on ELO? It does know the odds in advance, doesn’t it? Or at least it has the data to calculate them in advance, is that right?

Yes, because people playing the PvP in this game are professionally trained athletes, born, bred, and trained to compete and rise to the challenge, with a hilarious paycheck and a large-scale pressure of the clock on their entire livelyhood.

It does, and it does. And it is Elo, not ELO, as it is no abbreviation; the dude who invented it is a physics professor called Arpad Elo.
I think I played a game once, tihnk it was called bloodline champions that did something similiar of sort; it worked quite well. However, I do not see it working at all in this game because solo queue is already broken. You have low end teams being constantly farmed by people in the top 50 that generally syncs with each other.
You have 2% chance to win this match.

Yeah because that will help incentive the already large number of whiners when your team starts to lose by 70 points at start.
“omg 35% chance to win, why bother lmao im out guyzz glhf”
