I don’t know why there is so much negativity on the forums. I actually find this game fun, particularly when PvPing with friends. I know at times the development team makes strange or “bad” decisions and some areas seemingly go unnoticed/unbalance/unfixed but Rome wasn’t built in a day and you can see they are trying to make steps in the right direction. Even if a larger effort is being placed into PvE, I’m not really big on forums in general but It would be interesting to have something like a reputation system if it helps Anet sift through the towering waves of useless information to find the occasional Gems. (And by that I mean accurate concepts/ideas not the in game currency….)

This probably should go in the general forums but I agree. I think the users should have a bit of control over when they feel like someone was being disrespectful to them rather than the moderators having full control. I got an jnfrqction for calling someone a “liar” once. Lol. That was it. If that person felt that I was offending them then they should be giving me or someone else the -1. Of course to make it not abused they would have to make a limit of one over day or something of that sort.
EDIT: Actually a good way to make it so trolls don’t come in and give everyone -1, you could make it so that you have a certain reputation before being able to put a negative rep on someone else. So say you need to have +5 before anyone can do a -1 but everyone is allowed to +1 if you have a rep of +0 or higher.
wouldnt hurt for you to like something once in a while. you often have valid points (healing signet on livestream, upcoming double signet for 2h warrior), but your rage (borderline insults), thats a downer imo.

Nope there is no insults. I insult the game which has no feelings, it is an inanimate object. I never abuse anyone personally, devs or players – or I try not to. There is no room for that on any internet forum imo. However, if the game sucks people should say it sucks.

you are not the worst offender, though one neednt go beyond 1st page of your posts to find you calling anet “money grabbers”.
but my point is not so much insult (which should straight get infractions) but overall toxicity: either enjoy the game with the rest, or quit it and let the rest of the community to enjoy it. you talk about criticism. criticism is great, but after being critical you draw a bottom line and say that overall game is good and you play it, or not and you quit it. when post after post its all about how kitten this game is, and you keep doing this month after month, please, save yourself, or at least save us.

I actually love guys like you I really do. When all the people who find this game irritating due to failed balance leave.. you will be playing with your handful of friends. Like thats it. On your server there will be about 10 people lol.
Then the devs will shut down their servers because its not worth keeping active for a few people who love their game so happily and muffins hearts and rainbows but now… don’t have a game at all. Now those people will have to go to another game.
The community is full of all kinds of people. If all the people who actually care about the game and lash out because of that care and personal investment they have, left the game entirely, you will not be playing a game at all because there will be a total of like 100 people playing on their expensive servers.
