The trust fund babies don’t care about personal skill. Because if that came into consideration many of them would lose their spots overnight. So of course they’d fight tooth and nail to keep their false esteem.
Nothing left to do but to let them have GW2’s Ranked PvP and don’t play. If all of the lower players opt out of Ranked. Then the unlucky floor I’m going to call it, gets raised. To make someone up the ladder who was once gloating about how good they are and crappy you are. At this point they will become the new system’s female dog. Then those players will complain just as yall do, and eventually leave. It’s like a cycle, no it’s insanity, that ANet thought this would work. This system feels more of a hailmary pass into the dark, then a precision strike at the core of the problems.
Expect ANet to please their White Knights. So expect no personal contributions to be added into the equation of your rating. Also I’ve noticed not many at all returned to Season 5 Ranked that evac during Season 3. I think they have moved on to actually competitive games.
I’m just glad I didn’t hold my breath. For this Season to measure my skill against others. Some of those names in Gold division and up I’ve fought 1 vs 2 of them and won more then once.
But at least I admit it!
PoF guys get ready for PvE joys
I think its a really dumb idea personally often posted by low rated/ unexprienced and overall clueless players. Since it promotes all the bad behaviour all the top players tend to hate.
- Youll get ppl double triple or even quadruple capping empty points.
- Ppl chasing kills 4v1 like a random thief running around the map with 4 ppl chasing him.
- Entire teams going to kill minibosses at forest while letting the opposing team cap their nodes.
- Ppl not focussing on finishing ppl of or timing a burst to land a kill. No they need to get top damage so they will just use their PvE rotations and try to get top dmg instead.
Its literally everything a real pvper doesnt want.
Problem with personal stats is that they heavily favor classes like engis and DHs camping point and spamming aoe on minions. As roamer you get heavily punished since most of the time you spend running around the map, decapping things and +1 which results in low dmg, low heals, only so much offense/defense – you have high impact on match but it doesn’t reflect in stats usually.
If rating gains were affected by stats it would be same issue as in OW where supports get shafted with SR gains because they usually get only 1 stat (heals) where dps/tanks get multiple due to their mechanics. It led to issue that nobody wants to play support even though it is needed in every match.
