When will Anet do something about this? It’s ruined the game in solo queue anymore. Plus, it counts against your rating even though the rating system is complete and utter BS. When I first started GW2 I loved the game. Now it’s gotten to the point it’s really not enjoyable to play anymore. Why try to improve as a player when half od the matches are handicapped by a 4v5 or an afk. If Anet is really thinking about becoming an esports thing they need to fix this problem. Why should more players attempt to become competitive when they are hamstrung by a crap system. I guess that’s why LoL will always destroy this game in popularity

What makes this super depressing is the fact that it wouldn’t be such a big problem if they hadn’t crippled hotjoin with teamswap/spectator abuse and removed 8v8.

There’s nowhere to go except ‘try at least sorta hard to win’ arenas, and trying hard to win in a all-other-things-equal 4v5 is frustrating. The last remaining semi serious mode can’t even offer a consistent experience :\

So it’s skyhammer and I keep 2 people busy at cannon for about a minute until they finally manage to kill me. Meanwhile, my team lost all three points despite being one more.

Soloq makes me so angry sometimes, I might as well just not play at all.

In that situation you’re better of just leaving the hammer and helping your teammates because they need it. The hammer really isn’t that important anymore. It’s more like a glorified treb that is easier to dodge now.
