title says it all really i dont mind losing or losing rating because of bad luck or the other team was clearly better in team figths but losing because players do not have a clue what they are doing and dont understand how the map mechanics work is annoying.

As much as i would love to say im a pvp god and can take out an entire team i’m not and its hard to win a game when you have a full team of players that are standing around ignoring everything and just fighting 1 person who is clearly trolling them or fightiing in no mans land not actually doing anything,.

Remove the level req and change it to the achievements and add an achiievement so that they actually have to be part of the map mechanics and not just be on the same team as someoone that can do the map mechanics

last I checked the ranked entry req is rank 20. its pathetic.

either increase that or make a GOOD tutorial. preferably both.

Well technically it is what placements are for, so described players end up in lower ranks until they improve. Problem is, as new player (to pvp) you start with average MMR so you are placed higher than where you belong and it takes time for them to tank down.

You can take your placements and shove it up where the sun do not shine, since people already abusing this system by making alt accounts and getting their way up to max rank. The OP is right, put a rank requirements and be done with it, grinding 30 ranks is not that hard and makes you familiar with pvp.

What is the big deal about who is allowed in pvp? Everyone should be able to do it, even people who are playing the game their very first day. Everyone will eventually be put in the bracket they belong in. If you’re bad, you’ll go low and stay low, if you’re good you’ll move up. The end.

If I can’t “carry” people in a tier I don’t “belong” in… I am exactly where my skill takes me. Not bad luck, not the system, not other players.

One of the things that start a player on the path to improvement is the realization that you’re not as good as you think you are. Inflated pride and entitlement will get in the way of that.

Would like to see an AI/bot match(es) like DOTA2.
Even if the bots are stupid, atleast that way you can explain conquest in GW2.

You guys are very funny. However all of the other relevant PvP titles. Will completely disagree with you guys.

It’s funny because they still remain relevant. While GW2 lost every single claim it had as a relevant PvP title. Yet you people carry on with these falsehood of ideas. Seems to think otherwise. Anyways people have put forward the math multiple times. About how likely for good players to get dragged down by complete 2 hour PvP newbies in Ranked. And if you are solo queuing RIP, you need not apply, unless your are using other Non Competitive METAs.

But anyways guys. I just thought I’d stop by and leave a mark since I was here. Out of all of the PvP systems I’ve played in the last year. Has exactly what OP is asking for to be implemented in this game. Again there is a huge reason for this.

At current moment all GW2’s Ranked leagues is. A AFK PvE Rewards Farm Simulator. Absolutely no merit to ones skill. I should one I’ve a few times 1v2 some of those top 25 in the past and won and kept point, just to proceed to lose the match. And 2 to 3 games worth a ratings, even tho those two was much higher rated them me.

TL/DR – Bottom line is. For better match quality. GW2 would have follow suit of the other successful PvP titles. Wall the Ranked leagues behind a experience/play time wall. This would also make smurfing much much less viable and unrewarding, as well as greatly increase match quality.

I maybe a troll with class.
But at least I admit it!
