its so hard to play pvp in this game…

I got recently married so my days are mostly slavery and minimal time to play games. so i get rare times to play gw2. before i used to play 6+ hours a day no problem. now i am lucky to get 2 hours a week.

so when i do get on finally and get to do some pvp and first game i get vs a 5 man premade that kitten s us. then after a 4 man premade that kitten s us even harder. makes it really hard to find a reason to spend my 2 hours on gw2.

need solo q plz plz plz

No, because then she’ll take half of what you own, up to and including your computer.

The best solution to premades is to have a separate Solo Queue where no parties are allowed.

Plan B: Get your wife into GW2 PvP, YOU become the premade, and roflstomp everybody else.

Then you’ll be begging her to get off the computer so you can pursue 6+ hours of bedroom aerobics every day.

I understand why people quit pvp shortly after trying it whenever they get put against premades. I was just in a match where my solo player team had to face a VERY organized premade, and each time they left the base and went close to the point and sometimes before they even got close to the point they all died in a millisecond over and over until they all just finally stopped leaving the base. What’s the point in this… can’t we get fair matches and stop putting solo players against premades already, I really don’t think it’s too much to ask for. Heck at this point I’d even pay for solo queue via gems.

Make 3 childs, wait untill they’re old enough to play GW2 and made your personal family premade.

The worst part about the games where your team gets murdered and you get no caps or kills you get no points at all no progress. Just wasted time completly. Its a terrible design. Its like a half hour completly wasted. That makes me log off the most.

Basicly, by the game mechanics logic, the one that is playing “wrong” is you that join solo.
You can do it, but for shure if you find a premade you will lose at 90%.
But I’m always astonished for how many players join solo instead to try to make teams in a team based game. But everyone do what he want.

Anyway, there’s times when you find solo or half premades that kick your a*s why they’re good to play and start by organizing a little what to do in the match, instead of run at random hoping that all the team do what you usually do.
It’s lucky and strategy.

If you’re in a guild, try to ask if someone want to play with you and do premades or half premades. or at last go with someone that isn’t a bad casual pug.

Or find any of the other “TEAM Based Player vs Player” games on the market to sPvP in. You know the ones that will not purposely make you fodder just because you are solo queueing. In order to boost some no skill premade team players EGOs. That being said WvW is now a more promising PvP game mode then sPvP by far, even with the server stacking if PvP is all you are after. You can run around and kill players by your self and feel a much much greater sense of accomplishment and rewards per an hour as a solo player. You just have to use way more of your brain, and have far superior situational awareness then when you play in sPvP.

Even as a “Premade Team Player” you are instead of getting fed to the premades. You are now the premades who just win just because of that fact and the fact that the other team has a combination of average to players that have absolutely no ideal what they are doing or trolling in Ranked matches. Either way is no fun unless you are a sadist that likes kicking and killing defenseless kittens.

If you are “TRULY” looking for a game to have competitive small structured player vs player matches that has a rating system. GW2 should be one of the last games on your list at this point to do that in. Atleast till ANet decides not to make Ranked sPvP a special snowflake in all of the bad ways as it is now.

Yep, remove all soloplayers from teamqueue. Im all for that.

Then put them into a soloqueue so they dont quit pvp.

Let those “teams” play against each other. Or not. Depends on how many queue pops per day they get then. I guess 2-3.

Not to your liking? Mine neither.

Or anet could be smart, and introduce a second mmr for each player when he/she queues in teams (meaning, every player has a soloqueue mmr and a teamqueue mmr… but its the same queue). This way, mmr would be accurate enough to improve match quality by a lot.

Premades per se arent the source of the problems. Its the skewed mmr that is a direct result of premades. You can get a premade on your team, where two players are absolutely horribly bad… and one really good player. Those two really bad players are worse than afkers and will most likely loose that match for you, if the enemy team is remotely good.
On the other hand, you also can get matched with a premade of 3 really good players with 1 extremely horrible player. Then it would be extremely difficult to loose that match. But that doesnt make that one horrible player magically into a good one.
However, after enough matches, his mmr will suggest just that.

To fix this, as I said, you dont need a separate queue. Just separate mmrs.

Well many premade lose to soloq team.

Most premade have a MMR biased for them.

So, usually, good soloqer get to play versus team.

With a good friend to care for a second point, I can hold my group on the first point to win matches.

2 solid can rekt premade. 3 is easier.

When you see a premade, you are MMR worthy of it.

If you kill it, you will get MMR cookies from it.

If you lose it, that’s fine… at least you tried. Try to make the lost at 400pts + for more cookies.

If you can only play 2 hours a week, you did not marry the right girl.

I have 2 children and a girl friend. I can play 15 to 25 hours a week. Children goes to bed… and your GF should know to be able to get alone 1 night on 2.
