Just curious if matchmaking goes out of its way to make sure that multiple of the same class aren’t on any one team when it pairs them.
i think it should do this if it doesn’t. We cann’t control what other people pick afterall….and matchups like 3+ thiefs vs guardians leads to instant losses.
And I think that you ’shouldn’t’ be able to change ur professions when a game is starting. Changing ur build is fine obv, but changing ur profession should be a nono, for the same reason as above.
If they que based on profession types…… And they prevent those types from being changed, it will create a much more balanced match ‘for all players overall’. Many professions seem to get unfair advantages depending on what maps ends up being chosen…..generally anything with a teleport can do it on about half the maps. i.e. porting up a ledge or something like that where u can’t get to them. i don’t like that either.

Nope, because Anet doesn’t want to increase Queue times even if it means their “competitive” gamemode isn’t balanced and has meaningful Matchmaking.
Was in a game with 5 dragonhunters, 4 necros and a scrapper the other day. This kind of profession duplication is very common, I rarely find myself on a team that doesn’t have duplicates.
I wish they’d allow us to use the PvP UI to specify which of our characters we want to play in sPvP and then use that character pool when creating more “balanced” match ups.
So one match it might put my dragonhunter in a team, the next match it might choose my engineer.
