you’re not forced to do anything. you’re free to find yourself a regular team and practice from there, everyone who has team has done it too.
Problem with teamQ is not balanced, it’s population size. But over all, it’s way more fun than soloQ. people just need to stop being shy and make friends/starts teams
needs more players definitely. you win one game and suddenly next game you are matched against rank 60s in teamQ. its a traumatic experience getting demolished by people with shark finishers. luckily im used to losing so it doesnt really bother me but new players will be put off and just not bother with spvp anymore

and teamQ in this game is totaly broken. And it would be nice when Arenanet guyz would wake up and see this. And dont force me to paly teamQ.
SoloQ is the only FAIR and competive Que we have in this game – sad but true

there was always teamq reward 25% higeher tahn soloQ (dont understand this but its like it is)
but now they decide to buff the soloQ reard only x3 and teamQ x5 – I Cant understand
would they just buff rank bonus x5 for everthing we would have
soloQ 750 rankpoints and teamQ 1000 rankpoints – sounds fair right? sounds correct right?
yeah but arenanet think its cool to give soloQ only 450 rankpoints and teamQ 1000 rankpoints – this is simply wrong
there is no point for anyone who care bout rankpoints to play soloQ anymore even when he jsut play solo
when you play 10 teamQ games and dont even win your normal 50% just win 4 from 10 games and you can do this brain afk than you would need in soloQa 80% win/lose ratio to get even the same amount ankpoints in 10 games
i dont understand how arenanet think this is fair – rankpoints is currency for playtime in competive play in gw2 and to force people to play teamQ over soloQ is simply wrong
soloQ is the only Q in this game which is somehow healthy (good playerbase) and it is the only Q in this game which is competive cause its FAIR
It is frustrating for me to be forced to play now again teamQ which i hate (we had this thema months ago thats reason why they made soloQ) again and get farmed from full teams where i can see this people are jus noobs but they faceroll my random team cause they sit in ts.
i dont know – but i dont have fun with this anymore
when i play soloQ now i always feel like i lose on rankpoints cause i would get double in teamQ
it jsut dont feel right – and im sad arenanet trie to force me to play canonfodder again for the wannabe teams ina broken Q

This has got to be the quintessential first world comment.
I never managed to enjoy HoH in gw1 except with desperate pugs like me (because build wars : no sins allowed, and i persisted on playing my sin).
So eventually, never reached even bambi, quit before that, i stayed in RA.
There was no bambi in RA.
But there is no reason to complain, if i wanted my bambi, i should have joined the wagon and play an /authorized build.
Still, plenty of fun, just not as many cool features as you can get in HA. Or slower.

Find a team or deal with “slower” ranking through soloQ.
soloQ is not as competitive as teamQ tho.
SoloQ is random, for fun, to pass the time! no strategy or anything requires, juts cross fingers and hope you have synergy with the other 4 random players. ( and no leavers)
Yes im a former top tier wow player.
Tpvp is comparable to RBGs in wow, arenas are a bit different imo. RBGs reward a higher conquest cap aswell to make sure enough ppl play it. Since its harder to get a team up and running in teamqueue/RBGs they pull off these tricks. So both Anet and Blizzard are make a similar mistake.
What they should do instead is adding seperate incentives, while keeping the volume of the rewards similar.

just play enough games (100+) and random factor doesnt matter
i come from wow and LoL…
gw2 pvp is actually rather unique as it is more of mix of wow and LoL pvp
the thing about wow pvp, it was so heavily unbalanced that you could easily reach 1800-2k rating in arena w/o any sort of communication…. i have done it even with completely random set up for kitten and giggles like dk/rogue/sp
it is possible to win LoL matches simple the game pace is different and most can be still coordinated via team chat/pings
i do think it is kind of wrong that there is no real team requirement to do tpvp but i do think it should give more reward as organizing team is actually tiresome (especially with such small pvp community)
perfectly, i would love to see similar system like in LoL/RBG in wow:
- you can do soloq alone or with 1 friend
- you can do tpvp with a party of 5 but not alone
- i would leave the match rewards as they are though
