getting punished for trying
Do you mean hotjoin? If yes, anything goes.
Some players just want to look for some quick fights or test builds, some don’t care about capture points, some just want to mess around and have a laugh.
If you’re serious about the game mode (I’m not), better to look at solo/team queue.
That’s most likely as mentioned above, Hotjoins…meant for testing builds or just play to kill, not to win…
Play to Win is solo or team Q…although Solo Q will sometimes leave you wondering :-)
i cant change playstyle i like playing support builds aswell
maybe i will just use solo arena from now on
@ OP, If you are fairly new at the PvP scene then do not jump into Solo-Q straight away, fights are a bit different there.
If you enjoy support builds, like guardian for example, try tanking as many people as you can for as long as you can.
Then try and see how their animations look for the skills that you MUST avoid.
After that, jump in Solo-Q, yeah you will get some stuff thrown at you at start, but take that with a grain of salt and in time you be able to actually play sPvP according to the games design, not zergfest gloryfarm yolo
welcome to past few days of my soloq games

bad team that fights mid road somewhere completely ignoring points
bad team that keeps zerging far w/o even going for home or mid
bad team that zergs home and stays there as a group… who cares about mid/objectives right?
i understand not everyone is amazing player but common sense, what’s that?
