  • Step 1: remove hotjoins (HOTJOINS = BAD, TOXIC, GET THEM OUT NOW).
  • Step 2: remove “8 team frees” (TOURNAMENTS = BAD, TOXIC, GET THEM OUT NOW).
  • Step 3: make a duplicate of the current “Quick Frees” (keeping original of course).
  • Step 4: segregate the solo queue players from the duo-premade players.
  • Step 5: apply rated status to it.
  • Step 6: public ratings ladder for solo queue, public ratings ladder for duo+.
  • Step 7: apply random map generator consisting of legacy and forest to rated games, random map generator of every map to original “quick frees”.
  • Step 8: release custom games so ppl can still play w/e map they want.
  • Step 9: do a barrel roll!
    done

So what do you guys think about the patch?

I agree with everything but your odd idea to only have forest and legacy in que.

That’s seriously enough for this game to grow steadily. Once arenanet makes more builds available=perfect game.

It’s so little that we seriously are asking for :<

The best part is that the stuff everyone has finally agreed that the game needs amounts to basically giving the game a normal PvP mode. Single match ranked games is usually the baseline, and other creative modes get added on from there. It’s unfortunate that GW2 started with weird modes (FPS style hotjoin, 8-team tourneys) before there was ever a normal mode.

Can’t blame them, they wanted to do something original and unfortunately, it turned out that the tried and true is just better. Some of their other gambles, especially gameplay mechanics, really paid off. So we can’t be too upset.
