how big is the pvp dev team?
updates are moving way too slow.
I would like to rephrase this to make it more constructive and have a higher chance of a response.
’ Many people in the GW2 community are noticing that the updates that are being announced are not always in great detail or fully tested, we know that the Developers can only work with what they have but I believe that they would get much more backing from players if we knew the amount of Developers that GW2 have working on content, expansions etc. ’
Please can a Developer provide some light on this topic, even a range will be better than nothing if you are sworn to privacy?

make your own thread, this one is likely to be ignored
Think i read there is 2 devs working on pvp , so a patch a month is what happens
3 people only
An Error Prevented Saving:
Message Body length must at least be 15
I hope there are at least more people working on sPvP than on WvW. WvW is boring and has only the four big maps and to maintain them and fix some bugs every now and then it does not need that much people but working on new sPvP game modes and maps seems like it would need more people.

about right
Theres only 2 dedicated pvp devs and then there are others who work on specific things like maps that sometimes do pvp stuff other times pve….

I am not sure if you can say there are only 2, but with the second part I agree.
ArenaNet has people work on one thing until they switch to some other thing. At least as to what I read so far.
can we get a red post here? what do you guys hope to achieve with 2 people only? if you are serious about esports(lol), why don’t you hire a lot more? at this point might as well pull those 2, right? coz this ain’t going nowhere and that’s no monies for you..
You do realize that the way it works is that the lower and mid-range employees don’t get to decide whether to spend money hiring developers and testers.
Write a letter to the president making your case. I doubt if you will get anything back but a form letter thanking you for your concern and support, and promising great things ahead.

Adam get your kitten back to BF3 nothing to see here, at least for 3-4 months.
Peace,
Volted.
In most game development studios, you have 3 main departments (or “teams”); design, art, and programming. What we perceive as the “PvP dev team” is actually just members of the design team that focus on PvP.
Now, these people may have some great ideas for PvP, but that’s all they will ever be until it get’s approved by a producer (acting “manager” of all departments). If the producer’s wanted to devote time/energy from each department to PvP, then things we need would get into the game much faster, but they’ve seemed to allocate more resources towards pve mini-content expansions rather than basic PvP features.
They can’t please everyone :/

The Range is somewhere in between 1 and 313,914,040.
They have teams who cycle. They prioritise features. We don’t know how big the teams are. Anyway, they’ve said a few times the past month that they’re ‘polishing and testing’ custom arenas and spectator mode. So I hope we get it in april (wishful thinking :p). The sooner they get that out, the sooner they can start on splitting solo/team queue and get the daily/monthly/yearly infrastructure going.
Bring back: ‘Gamer’ title + MAT’s!
Throw out: Hotjoin!
Regardless of what they claim: Actions speak louder than words.
Months into the game with no significant changes to the game and broken mechanics bordering on hacking persist.
They pull of the people on pvp balance into PVE content. They decided to cash off of the PVE crowd and not the pvp ones hence why your ignored.
If it was truly 2 people, then months since the launch of the game a lot more balancing should have happened.
