3 vs 2
4 vs 3
5 vs 4

and many spectators waiting to join the winning team …

and you are on the team with lesser players, and the team score gap is widening quickly? what do you do?

you enter the spectator mode!

this will cause the teams to be unbalanced, and force a auto balance to happen.
(auto-balance will cease to work when one team has over 400 team score so you need to do this very early in the game, when scores are like 100 vs 200)

after you entered spectator mode, teams will be
3 vs 1
4 vs 2
5 vs 3

and after 10 seconds the teams will be auto balanced, becoming
2 vs 2
3 vs 3
4 vs 4

and then you join back the “losing team” so the “losing team” would have 1 more player, along with one extra player from the “winning team” and if any of the spectators are still waiting for a slot in the “winning team” they will quickly join the “winning team” in order to ride along.

viola! the teams are now balanced!

i’m a bit slow in finding that out myself.

now i’m posting this here, hoping that others would read this, and do the same as well.

hopefully we will get better games in hotjoin if more people practices this.

Unless the player who got rebalanced then goes back into Spectator Mode because they’re annoyed at being forced onto the “losing team”.

On some nights, it feels like Spectator Wars is an alternate mode of PvP. :P

aye, that may happen, and they will get the “win reward” if they “volunteered” to the “losing team” as well.

and they can just sit in the spectator mode for the rest of the match to enjoy their “win reward” for “volunteering” to “help” out the “losing team” so …

This is a bad behavior that I posted a thread for a better solution. If your in a match and then go back to spectator mode you should not be able to re-join. Its a broken system. If you encourage this then you have a team of constant leavers and re-joins that no one actually plays the match, they just let someone else do the work and try to join who ever is in the lead.
