invisible thiefs cant hold points in spvp?
I believe invulnerability skills have the same mechanic. When it’s up you can gain no capture progress. This is working as intended for awhile now… a Shadow Refuge stealth can last a very long time and wouldn’t be very fair especially with a team of multiple thieves.
Yeah, they made this change a while back. I’m not sure if it’s been implemented in WvW yet (but it’s supposed to be eventually and is really really necessary there).
Invulnerability is supposed to have the same effect. Both are good design decisions in my opinion, especially the stealth one. Otherwise you can have a perma-stealth thief control a point forever (well, until someone smart enough comes along and starts aoe nuking the point that is).
the guardians knockback wall spells dont count i suppose as they are techicallly not invulnerable are just behind a screen, but still i dont think that a valid arguement, shadows refuge is less than the size of most aoes, and u know where they will definately be for the next 6 seconds or so, not only that but its completely ruined by knockbacks. i agree in wvw its a problem but in tpvp its a shame, i like playing my attrition build as i get tired of it being bunker/cannon paradise, but if i cant actually maintain a point while stealthed it makes my play very disadvantageous.
I guess I don’t understand your build very well if this is stopping you from utilizing it. Caltrops + Choking Gas (or any other poison inducing skill) should force any guardian off a point. They don’t do much damage and really can’t hit you at range. I guess maybe you’re running a direct damage “attrition” build? It’s probably best to run a condition build against guardians.
no it is as you say , i very much use basilisk venom-chocking gas,caltrops,dodge caltrops, sneak atk, huge stacks of bleeding, its just obviously i need to stealth to utilise sneak atks and stop the guardians summon hammers from just smashing me about, i dont have problem killing them in the long run, but the problem is everytime i stealth i lose some ground on them.. doesnt seem right. im not abusing the stealth… you cant anyways.. if people are stupid enough to allow you to keep cnd every 5 sec or so whatever the stealth immune cooldown is. thats there problem.
tbh i feel like the actual main problem is that conquest is the only game mode.. if it switch between other modes, in a random fashion that would stop people from playing such stand on the spot only point control builds and would hopefully make people play in a more adaptable way.
