so whatever i play pvp i lose a lot, i got 11 loses 3 wins on this ranked season
i dont play pvp much and im noob, i tried play unranked and it was worst than ranked
is there any skill balance or just random skill players ?

Take a “net” META build.

Like you find on metabattle.com.

Then train that build for 2 or 3 hours in hotjoin (don’t play cap, simply try to kill people).

Then do some unranked until you feel confortable with where to GO.

Then rank queue will get better for you.

In every single game is Build on first place (LoL,Dota,Aion,AoC,UltimaOnline,EvE and many other game) , same in real life is build(muscles/equipment) > skill =)

since there no tempest staff builds, im playing tempest d/d meta build
its not bad i like it, a lot better than staff, but i lose a lot, i dont see reason to play pvp if theres no balance, just veteran players destrying new players… same as heartstone

its not bad i like it, a lot better than staff, but i lose a lot, i dont see reason to play pvp if theres no balance, just veteran players destrying new players… same as heartstone

The best way is 1v1 arena for increase your skill

Well, don’t play ranked. If you are a new player to the game, and are hoping to do well against experienced people tryharding to get their pips; You won’t have fun. Also, copying a build doesn’t mean that you are great at that certain profession. That takes practiced.

better to just go in unranked or duel servers.

Unfortunately, since the game is pretty old now, you won’t find a lot of inexperienced players in unrenked, especially when everyone is playing ranked.

However, a week or two after the season starts, the competent players have usually moved up, and you’ll probably find more players of your level. Keep at it and good luck!

well in pve i find 80% players are noobs, 4 tier fractal and im always the last who dying whit berserker build…
P.S best pvp system is blade and souls

You play Ele. At the moment, they’re the hardest class to make work on any random comp unless you’re with a premade.

If you’re inexperienced, not is not a good time to pick up Ele in PvP.

well thats sad, i cant play my favorite class becuz its nerfed in pvp

i dont think ele or other class is problem, the problem is skill balance
i know everyone saying is all about meta builds, but to get meta build its easy, but what about your skill level, theres no balance about this, so that why i dont like to play whit better players than me

PvP is the best place for noobs. It requires no boss/dungeon tactics whatsoever, just stay on a point and defend it.

Simple instructions: make a guardian, or thief, or mesmer, or whatever easy profession with as few spells as possible; choose a build from metabattle.com; and destroy your enemy in a 123 combination. It’s extremely simple. Do not worry about teamwork, positioning, combining abilities in combos, etc; just do that 123 as instructed in metabattle.com. You do not even have to be on a team, just go alone with your guardian and reach legend and grab your rewards along the way. Simple.

Yeah, but too bad that game was riddled by bots. Is it still? Other then that it’s PvP system was amazing and competitive the few games you didn’t face bots in.

Found the problem! Stop playing Ele and slap on a meta DH build. Press random skill and you will win

As someone who has about a 50% winrate (actually a bit higher) on a Greatsword+Shortbow Signet Ranger(Not Druid) – I’m gonna go against the majority of the suggestions here and say “First, take your PvE build into PvP, and tweak it from there” – I suggest using Paladin Amulet (Or mender if you’ve got a high self-healing class) – it won’t help you kill, but it gives you a bit more time to see what’s going on around you and react before your next dirt-nap.

Also – I’d argue it’s more important to play capturing the points than actual combat ability, at least if you’re looking to win. Often, being in the right place at the right time is far more important to securing a victory than being able to hold your own in a skirmish. And don’t get bogged down in skirmishes/teamfights if there’s a point you can cap instead (Or delay an enemy capping/decapping)

At the very least – improving your map control and ability to assist teammates through +1s, staying alive and disengaging when you need to should give you a few more wins to drive off discouragement while you improve your other skills and learn how different builds work.
