if you play mostly solo would it be fairly accurate indication of skill to look at their ladderboard points divided by their wins? higher the % the better they are.

the logic behind that would be the highest % players had the fewest amount of losses that they were expected to win. in other words, all/most their losses were because they were matched against a team they were expected to lose to, and htey performed better than expected.

does this logic make sense? ladderboard points divided by total wins?

Maybe that works.

In these threads what confuses all of this is that the matcher very often is forced to give solo Q teams matches they have a very small actual chance of winning.

Yet people are used to win/loss = skill.

but since you only lose a point when you perform less than expected, then in theory your ladderboard points could be equal to your wins, if you’ve never performed less than standard??

Depends also on what time of day you play.

If you play at any time other then peak hours the matchmaking system is turned off because they decided it took too long to match teams properly.

This means at any time other then peak hours it will just randomly toss teams up against each other.
