They can all roll mind wrack mesmers, hb wars, condition damage thives or maybe granade burst eng…and still own people harder than before with BS And crying will restart all over again…..and so on….so you’ve better to nerf every damage dealing skill in this game, but anyway someone would still cry about it..
No…they absolutely do NOT need to nerf every damage dealing ability in the game. They just need to make it impossible to do 20k+ damage in under 2 seconds. If every class in the game had that ability sure nerf away. But as far as I know no other class even comes close to touching the thieves spike capabilities. Honestly im just tired of going into games that have 5-6 thieves.
and yes people will always find something to cry about. In this case I think its a valid reason though. Theres just no defending this build. It needs to be nerfed. Hard.
Thieves (Damage Per Second.) not Burst Damage is actually quite horrible (Over a 30 second period, necromancers will even out damage us.), its almost impossible for us to beat a bunker elementalist or guardian unless we “suprise.” them and kill them faster then they can out heal us.
^I don’t know where that fallacy crawled out of, but it’s just not true. Thief’s DPS is sky high, you can spam backstab every 3 seconds, your every attack deals very high damage.
Nobody can kill a bunker. Actually, the thief is pretty much the only class that has any hopes of just DPSing down bunkers, other classes can’t even come close to it.
Easiest way to fix current pvp classses imbalance: Increase effectivness of toughness 2 or 3 times and make it mitigate cond damage and reduce guard and ele healing.There you go no more massive dps bursts and you got yourself nice sustainable pvp.For quick kills play cod not mmorpgs.

Killed a bunker earlier with my mesmer 1v1. well timed interrupts and smart use of phantasms makes them pretty easy.
They said they wanted thieves to get away from a fight, and nobody to get away from a necro once engaged.
Apparently they mixed it up and gave thieves such ridiculous mobility that not only can they keep high uptime so nobody gets away from them versus the ease of escaping a necro, and on top of it they can disengage any fight that goes sour.
It’s a cheap class. We were told stealth wasn’t going to be a problem, that stealth classes would be balanced. Lo and behold, the stealth class with high burst in this game, like in every game, is presenting balance issues.
Stealth lasts too long when mesmers get crappier versions on a 9 sec cd that doesn’t even heal. Because that’s what stealth should be, temporary respite or to get by something quick. Not to reset a fight at will until you can fire off your string of easy crits.
The damage thief abilities deal relative to other classes is just silly. That a couple of thieves can pretty much keep an Eternal Battlegrounds dungeon locked down unless they get outmanned makes it obvious why the class is so popular in PvP.
It’s ok, when Backstab is nerfed they’ll actually have to use more buttons to fight.

actually not…they’re probably moving to condition damage thief and destroy you once again while learning how to play it…and trust me, if you have issues fighting a noob BS or HS spam thief you’re going to get owned by condition dmg ones, and QQ omg thief OP will start…once again….

But dude…you are talking about skills. Well timed skills? Umad? Here everyone wants to win versus bunkers and glasscannons without learning a crap on how to use their own skills…just nerfing others so they can do something instead of being facerolled hundred times a day. Stop using well timed rupts, and stop being a good player with a brain…just QQ more and maybe with next patch you can win…well probably not but you can still go back to the forum and cry even more..
