lazy class for s/tpvp
Hotjoin or tournaments? bc if hotjoin thief is your man. but try lazy thief in tournies and youll end up dead.
Im not sure if such an easy class exists in tournies, 100b warrior is simple to play if you dont mind dying alot (not dying alot is where the skill on it comes in). But u can kill things w it easy.
I guess mostly hotjoin. In terms of tournaments I guess my question can also be rephrased to:
What are the common team comps being used?
and
Out of those classes/roles they play, which is the easiest to pick up?
Thief, create 2 more thiefs with elite. Backstab some stuff. If almost dead, pop 1 of the many panic buttons u have. Easy to do well.
Not saying that the thief is a faceroll class or anything, but i think it does well even if not even trying.

Trap ranger/thief is pretty easymode in pvp, s/d or d/d ele if you want to push a bit more buttons and learn a couple of easy combos.
Necro spam marks and faceroll with lich form ulti
Ranger zerker spam 1 on shortbow
You’re welcome.

Yes, indeed!
Guardian is fairly simple and easy to grasp.

… not to mention rewarding and contributing with a lot.
If you get used to hitting 8-10 buttons instead of 4-5 buttons you could play an Ele and:
*Never die if you dont want to
*Get tons of glory
*Feel better than everyone else
*Use one of the many pre-thought of builds floating around every forum
*Be useful in every match
*Never die if you dont want to
They call it “skill curve”.

Yes, indeed!
Necro spam marks easy?
I disagree. Sure necro don’t have much combo to learn and all, but they don’t have much OH kitten button ether. So if you are lazy, you’ll die a lot.
Server : Anvil Rock (Since Release!) [SOLO]
i like greatsword mesmer specced for phantasms,
just stand back and spam and you’re a pro.
thats my guilty lazy char
also as stated by someone else, necros specced for staff is a nice lazy build,
targeting? “ain’t nobody got time for dat!”

He plays Warrior!
I would second that that an easy hotjoin lazy character would be a Phantasm Mesmer. Not going to be the most effective build in the world, but you don’t need to in Hotjoin. You have plenty of backup plans and as a Mesmer can often escape the worst of situations.
Tirydia – Scrapper
Yeah the whole point is I want to be able to spam literally 1-2 buttons (ok, maybe up to 3-4 if i HAVE to) and still be semi effective.
That knocks d/d ele out of the equation. Might consider a guard then or maybe necro. Thanks guys!
Zerker thief with shortbow. Just spam 1 and stuff dies.
Most classes can be picked up and played easily even when not very experienced, but to do well / be exceptional obviously it’s going to take some experience / practice.
The exception to this rule is probably engineers. They not only have a lot of buttons to press, but require a lot of situational awareness and what to do when with your kits.
If I had to pick classes that can roll noobs easily in hotjoin, it’d be a toss up between mesmers or thieves, with thieves being easier in terms of number of buttons pressed. Just keep in mind that when you fight more experienced players, they are likely going to rock your world if you’re not super-familiar with their class and your own.
If you get used to hitting 8-10 buttons instead of 4-5 buttons you could play an Ele and: .
8-10 buttons -> false
*Never die if you dont want to
in a 1v1 maybe, in every existing situation? nah
*Get tons of glory
As far as i know eles dont have increased glory :/ so again false
*Feel better than everyone else
Is it a passive ele skill? I didnt see it :/
*Use one of the many pre-thought of builds floating around every forum
*Be useful in every match
Only points you are right, but they also apply to other classes (guardian, mesmer, thief…)
*Never die if you dont want to
Wow, you like repeating yourself dont you?
They call it “skill curve”
They call it QQ
One ele is not a god like you fail to say
The OPness comes from stacking many eles in a team because they can do every function required.

sure grimdark’s points arent all 100% true….
tho your point is 100% true !
The OPness comes from stacking many eles in a team because they can do every function required.
so you agree eles can do every function required making them just that little bit to OP in teamfights ( glad to hear an ele say it at last :P)
Makes me wonder why you broke down grimdarks post so hard .
( you both saying different things , tho your results are both the same )
:D
ow and “easy” pvp builds are
- ranger with shortbow ( spam 1 and set traps)
- thief in general is rather easy to play cause of the spamming you can do
- mesmer ( staff / condi/ phantasms) its rather easy ( requires more buttons )
- ele d/d (not that easy to play , but not that easy to deal with either)
i have to say in a 3 vs 1 there is no such thing as easyplay ( if you are the solo 1 ofc )

His points were false and qq
Mine is objective
nerf the ele stacking & bunker build, not the class itself
“^” was referring to Rerroll.9083.
All right guys, let’s keep the ele bashing down :P. I main a d/d ele right now and yes bunker build is way too strong.
However, with all the qq’ing about ele and NOT the build itself…I just don’t want ANet to nerf ele to release state pls XD. To be honest I always hated ele after I got to 80 and that was the reason I quit gw2 after a month. I’ve always loved the warrior playstyle so I made a warrior instead.
Ironically, now my warrior is a punching bag in pvp….while my ele is literally just a warrior with more button mashing. Sigh I’ll probably try guardian as it suits my playstyle more over thief. Thanks a lot everyone
Thief…. Spam dagger 2. Profit.
This is somehow a profession hate thread because everyone is just going to claim everything else is easy.
I would say that easy classes are those that aren’t reactionary by default. In other words, your opponent has to react to what YOU do and rarely vice versa (before people start to try and dismantle my list I’m not saying these classes are easy, I’m just saying that you can buttkitten people with these classes without knowing what other classes do). In my experience the list for you would be
d/d thief (probably the one for you)
greatsword axe/shield warrior
0 10 0 30 30 cantrip d/d ele (contrary to popular belief these are easy as kitten to play. three stun breaks makes baby jesus cry)
trap ranger
condi necro (hardest on the list, can be very squishy if you don’t know what you’re doing)
Everything on this list is viable but slightly more difficult to play in tourneys. The easiest one to play in tourneys is probably the trap ranger and ele.
@$20 an hour! It’s worth it!
Just play a guard, lots of survivability, easy to play, and you hardly ever get blamed for mistakes. If you die it’s prob because of a 1v2 or 1v3 in which case your teammates couldn’t rotate to you fast enough. You can body beat like a champ for the extra glory too, and everyone likes a guard in their team.

Obviously everything else seems to be easy since everyone wants to play the “best” profession.^^
There is no doubt though about the Heartseeker spam build being one of the easiest (if not the easiest) in the game. You only have 1 attack skill (HS) instead of 10 or more and your elite, heal and utility skills. Stealth is really good if you make any mistakes and to initiate. Keep in mind this is only true for the SPAM build, not thiefs or D/D in general.

Man I know this wasn’t my intention haha. I’m not looking for an easy op class, I’m looking for an easy “less buttons to click” class lol
I love how this went from an easy/lazy class suggestion forum to make someones life easier to a flame war… OP you want an easy class? Make a new char of what you don’t have… Go to HOTM… Play around if you feel that class requires too much effort… Delete char… pick a new class.. rinse repeat til you feel one is adequately lazy. Your welcome.
