Q:

When I played Warcraft 3 and TFT you could create a new account anytime unlimited and your MMR would start from 0 every time, meaning there would be a lot more “trolls” that were high level beating up on newbs.

…and even in that game under that system I had on average closer matches than this current Soloq matchmaking system.

How do they math? Can Anet math please? I just want closer fights…..

Well for starters don’t do hot-join, do Team-tournaments.

Alright then. Stop doing SoloQ then. The organized groups do TeamQ, since there they will meet equally organized groups, while any kitten can join a fight in SoloQ.

How do they math? Here is the answer:

Number of people playing ranked matches is so low, that if you wanted to play a ,,close match" every time like in LoL, you would need to wait in averange like 30 minutes or more. Instead, you are matched with players pretty much regardless of their ranks, what greatly reduces waiting time, but also team balance.

To sum up, the longer you wait and the bigger the community is, the closer matches you have. Here, you don’t wait for long and the community is small, but at least you are able to play.
