losing league points when winning,

I was in a game where a team member of mine dc’d, we were doing great and eventually won the ranked game. while we won the game i lost 2 points in my tier instead of gaining one, the rest of my team didn’t gain not lose a point. This is very annoying since the points are sometimes hard to earn in pvp ranked, certainly when you lose a point when you lose a game. I wonder if it has happened to more of you and why, is it the dc of aplayer or just a bug?

i hope this get fixed soon, i lost 2 points instead of gaining one, so i actually lost 3 in 1 game which we won.

This has been a problem from the start. People streaming have shown this such as chaith and hellseth and anet still has decided to not fix it. I have reported not getting a pip after a win.

Agreed. I can understand if I crash that I get league points deducted for desertion even if I’m able to reconnect a minute later, but I don’t understand why my whole team has to get punished for my d/c even if we win. To make everyone on my team lose a league pip despite the odds being against us seems confusing and discouraging to continue a match after a d/c occurs.

For a number of people it already was a crashfest before HoT was even announced :P

Still, this is the first example I’ve seen of a game in which you can lose points for winning a ranked match. I know a few that reward 0 progression, but losing points after winning … rofl. Good thing I don’t play ranked I guess xD

I got desertion after i swaped class in that 1 min time before match,dont remember if we won or lost but i got desertion

Also i confirmed it sometimes when i que for ranked i get transfered to unranked.
If i que on unranked >leave>reque to ranked this happens sometimes.

i agree, honestly they should make it that people lose the dishonor if they reconnect in a certain amount of time, this would still be fair and the team might not suffer for it. The fact of losing points in a won game while in a higher division is really demotivating. And i don’t think the team should be punished for a dc which isn’t their fault.

The grace time is 30sec for now … ppl have 30 sec to relog after dc but … 30 sec is too short when the game crash and u have to restart everything (especially with my kitten slow PC)
