dislcaimer: this is for tpvp, and this may be wrong (correct me if you know better, this is just what ive observed from it)

when i first started tpvp (first ~15 games) i had a 75% win rate.

now, 75 games in (i only play tpvp casually, but im a skilled/smart player), i have a ~58% win rate, and ive noticed a few things.

1. premades get put vs pugs way too often, ive been on both sides of this, and it happens WAY too often.
2. a lot of noobs are flooding tpvp trying to get their daily, making yolo qing a near suicidal experience, especially as a good player (you will be cursed with incompetent team mates all day long)
3. nothing ruins a match faster than an afk/leaver/troll.
4. as i won more and more games, i was paired with harder enemies. (the matchmaking system is pushing everyones win rate toward 50%)
4a. this makes sense, but is infuriating when combined with observations 1-3. essentially this creates a situation where, if you play with a premade and dominate, you will get complete morons whenever you dare click yolo q.
4b. if you yolo q and are a good player, then you will get paired with worse players against better players, and it just isnt fun to play with braindead teammates.

things i would like to see:
-tpvp removed from daily (or at least remove the achievement point associated with the 5th spvp daily category after youve already completed your daily)
-seperating solo q and premade tpvp
-tiers of tpvp, so complete noobs never get put in teams w good player vs a team of all good players
-there MUST be some way to punish afks/leavers/trolls
-give players the option of removing themselves from the leaderboard and disabling w/l tracking (obv the data would still have to be collected behind the scenes, but i dont want any way to see it. this is just a personal preference, it makes me angry when i lose because i had bad team mates and their failure will reflect on my permanent stats. if i cant see the stats in any way i can at least lie to myself)

now i realize the tpvp community is not that large, and some of these things may mess with how long u wait, but these problems are causing me to quickly become frustrated and lose interest in tpvp

are there any points that you agree with or disagree with? do i need to elaborate on something because it isnt clear how it would help the situation? have i misunderstood some aspect of the matchmaking system? is there a better alternative i failed to notice? please add your thoughts.

Yup, I just got done playing against a premade and they were all my friends too because we are all at same place rank wise.

The matchmaking system places you against people your leaderboard rank wise. It doesn’t put solo que’ers vs solo que’ers its system is based on your leaderboard rank.

Agree with most your post

Put a min rank requirement of 10, that way, the player at least has some exp playing pvp, the game mechanics etc etc

Splitting solo q with premade will be hard due to groups of 2,3,4.. Can’t see it working personally

system is a joke, i played 4 games tonight, 2 vs high rank premades, 1 vs partial premade, 1 vs pug. I lost the 2 to high rank premade and won other 2, yet my rank will probably go down somehow.

lol, just dont look at leaderboard.

10 isn’t really enough for a usual player to be competent( it’s like only 2-3 days of pvping) , 99% they will suck badly anyway.

If you play against a premade wait like 5 mins before you que up unless you want to face them again as a solo que. If you have friends that group and you see them online, wait till they get into a game before you que up.

This matchmaking system goes off of leaderboard rank.

I play a lot with my brother and sometimes with an additional friend. In a system with solo que and premade que what happen to my team? What if we are 4 people, are we still playing against pugs?

If I play solo I often see some nice people and we create a pug. A pug would be destroyed against guilds playing for a long time together. … So I like the system like it is.

They should just change their rating system. Make it so more friends (people you made a premade team with) you have, the more rating you lose/less you gain when you face pugs (yolo queue people)

Dedicated solo queue and put rank 1-19 players in there own bracket and problems 99% solved. We are waiting A-Net.
