started off in sapphire. these people that were legendary/diamond last season obviously didnt learn how to rotate. im stuck with idiots every match. when i finally get a win streak going, it throws me up against a pre-made…a premade made of my own guildies. since then ive been going up against pre mades and pro league players, chaith,rom,etc. blow out games 500-200. why allow pre mades to go against pugs? i thought they fixed that?

The matchmaking guy gave up and so they just did a mix out S1 and S2 matchmaking.

It’s sad that ANET has failed here, but hopefully they will bring in someone from the outside who has some new ideas.

im not complaining at all. i ,love this game and i like the challenge to improve myself. when i get matched with decent people its a really good match but constantly im getting matched with 4 necros or 3 thieves while the other teams have a good comp. i switch to ele/scrapper/necro depending on team comp but its just not enough

Actually I ran into this guy named ‘Rom na’ in MM today in Sapphire.

It’s probably not the same rom, throwing it out there folks.

The matchmaking supposedly designed not to discriminate people base on play hours and instead on actual skills. Good Luck.

why am im being put against premades? when i give constructive criticism i get berrated and they proceed to over commit to far and lose us the game.

big kittening joke i get joined with 2 emerald players at sapphire tier 4 and go up against a premade of all sapphires. kitten this game.

Cause MMR doesn’t actually reflect skill. They should have reset it. It is blindingly obvious many many players are carrying an mmr which doesn’t actually reflect their skill level, hence matchmaking gets distorted. It is mindboggling that they are so set on not resetting it when other games have no problems at all resetting it each season.

Why is GW2 so different?

Why do anet think they know better than companies that are more experienced at running competitive online games?

Cause MMR doesn’t actually reflect skill. They should have reset it.

It’s even worse. MMR is designed to reflect skill only in the situation of 50/50 matches, which was not the case in S2, and is not the case now.

Basically, the current system is based on assumption that MMR shows player skills, while at the same time creating an environment where that assumption no longer holds true.

MM is awesome now you literally need to work for each win now as the enemy team got same MMR as you now

After surviving the train wreck that day one was I felt inspired to make my own comedy show based on it.

Netflix decided to pick it up and will start airing it next week.
