since there is no condi that can actually make enemy slower when they use leap or moving skill, melee becomes too op. idk why anet even provide ranged weapon in this case.
I think this one is really need to go back to before the patch simply becuz it made no reason to use ranged weapon anymore in tactical play & purpose.
simply, why do you make chill or cripple if it can never stop it?

Because you can chill, dodge their gap closer and use a teleport/apply swiftness and open the gap right up? Because everyone, save for thief, with their one million gap closers, and mesmers, who don’t need to close gaps, have around one gap closer per weapon? Seriously, it isn’t that hard to kite a melee target as a range (I find no issue as a fresh air).
OP, make thief and try to land backstab on moving target with swiftness while being chilled/crippled yourself. Also, record your experience. I am sure it would be very entertaining.
Make a mesmers, fight a guardian that has close to no moblity, have your laugh. Yep, ranged weapons are uselesssssss….. not really. Tell it also to rangers camping on roof top and sniping any enemy on sight~
