WTF. My main weapon isn’t any good unless I’m far away. I have a CD on the good melee attack and warriors, thieves and engineers can stun, vanish and bomb the hell out of you 3x before any of your cd’s are up. Oh yeah, the bird does great as an elite skill against the thief who summons two more thieves. Seriously… I guess you just stand on rooftops and blast anyone who happens to wander into range.

Do you use shatter spec, and know how it works?
Bc if u want to be melee dps on a mesmer, thats sort of how u do it.

Trying to melee a warrior face to face with a mesmer, even if warrior is not what i would call a top class, is not a good idea…you know he has a big sword and heavy armor…you have a glittery little sword and light armor, why in hell do you want to melee someone you can just kite away and kill with ease?

dont worry after they nerf everything else mesmer will be useful again. after the 26th engi will be op so maybe april or may mesmer will be good.

Hoping for no mesmer nerfs :/
The amount of QQ on these forums is staggering

Hopefully devs won’t wackamole their game balance at mid-high end in GW2 is actually very close to ideal which is more then I can say for any other game.

Slight tweaks to the ele, very slight, maybe 5% less sustained dps, and making Ranger traps Cooldown on Trigger instead of Cooldown on Placement and Fixing their condition full cleanse every 10 seconds.

I tried the shatter build and it seems to work ok. I killed the same warrior twice but he wasn’t very good. Try kiting a thief who vanishes every 10 seconds and then crits you for half your health pool. And if there are two of them, forget it you will be dead before you know what hit you. The biggest problem is cd’s. Why should a guy with heartseeker get to vanish so quickly and then use another op ability from stealth? I saw a great vid on pvp. Basically what you do is delete your crappy character and roll a thief and spam 1 and 2.

Unfortunately thieves aren’t gonna be getting any nerfs soon. So they will continue to annoy us all.

thief is hard to balance because they are the hot join hero class.

True that but by making other thief builds work better the Steal/CnD/BS combo won’t seem like such a bad nerf.
