Im just curious how many people would be interested in a hard core game-type , essentially the same as we have now but with no down state, and remove the calls like trebuchet incoming.

Glass cannons everywhere without the means to counter them? No thanks.

Yes, eliminate the UI too, and the score indicator at the top, then make base hp 5000. Super ultra hardcore mode with no casuals allowed is definetly what this game needs.

3) fixed.

I’d be willing to bet sPVP without downed state would be far more popular than current game type.

Disagree. Enough games already have a similar system.

Too many people want this to be WoW or GW1. If it’s not for you, those games still exist and you can go back to them. Thankfully, this game has a different direction planned.

Im only talking about a game type so people would have the option, im not saying remove downstate from the game just give players the choice to play a game type that includes it and one without.

Id be interested. I made a thread about precisely this somewhere.

I’d do anything to have this game mode implemented.

And hopefully you all get your wish in the upcoming custom servers.

Personally I think the downed state is great at higher level, organized play (class balance among downed states being an entirely different dicussion). However I do think it is simply not a fun mechanic for casuals and PUGs.

this with a 3vs3 deathmatch gamemode would be awesome

The whole game is based around downed state lol. Removing it would just ruin everything even more.

Nobodys propsing removing downed state in wvw or pve. Just spvp.

The game would work fine without “mini-games” when they should be dead. What class utilizes dying as part of their strategy? People just abuse the current system against pubs, it’s not a necessary feature.

Down state is kitten

+1 remove.

Downed isn’t dead, it just means you’re a very low health and have to think and count on your team in order to get back. If there wasn’t a down system there would be zero teamplay.

downed state is good, its fun, second chance against nukers and promotes team play, because being able to revive your mate in middle of fight is sometimes crucial

Downstate is the worst invention for PvP, and what’s worse is when a company can’t admit to these types of mistakes…

downstate can be easy to counter as a thief.

step 1. use blind field

step 2. use stealth

step 3. free kill for 1v1

step 4. when in group combat replace step 3 and have the team focus the ressers while using step 1 + 2 with a thief or have a thief do those steps.

also if its just random spvp with casuals who the hell cares, most of them suck soo much anyway they dont even organise them self let alone know how to deal with downd ppl in the first place.

also rememeber its not the game that sucks, its YOU !

i was w8ing to put this in suggestions. i agree completely. i want to see game options in rented rooms that have check box next to down state.

i dont mind ppl playing with DS as long as i dont have to
