well speaking for the ranger only.. thats a major trait investment to have that luxury..
it’s a grand master trait line..
edit: and warrior healing is well sub par.. so It cant hurt to let them healz a little bit
what wasn’t fair was the abuse of this mechanic.. a free reset button most never had the luxury of.. best to learn adapt to counter without it..

mesmer has it on a 60 sec cooldown untraited and requires 3 clone or phantasm and a grandmaster trait up for a full 4 sec, so you can’t compare it like that.
Because they where OP, thats why…ranger will be nefr’d as well (i hope).
You have to look at all classes and not pick randomly some.
Atm at least necro can do something in game, so it is better and plz dont say that ele and engi now are unplayable

Endure pain and SoS do not grant complete invulnerability compare to Mist Form, Elixer S, and shatter f4. It simply negate the “direct damage” only, meaning you’re susceptible to all the condition damage and CC.
Even if you activate endure pain or SoS, people can still CC and kill you easily with condition damage.
Mist form, Elixer S, and shatter f4, on the other hand, grand COMPLETE INVULNERABLE, can block all the CC, condition damage, and direct damage, which guaranteed you to be safe for that 3 seconds.
They can also be used as an 100% unstoppable stomp with these skills, and they’re all on shorter cool down than Endure Pain and SoS.
Not to mention SoS requires you to invest 30 points in one of the rangers’ most useless trait line for the active effect to work…

Elixir S skill: Activation now locks heal, utility, and elite skills.
Speaking of “not really fair”, Elementalists can still heal for 4k through traits while in Mist Form, yet Engineers under Elixir S now get zero, when they previously got 3k (for med kit users).
I can’t even articulate how devastating this nerf is to “tough” build Engineers.
Coming into to this patch, it was actually the first time I felt my Engineer was in a good place (FYI: I don’t use or want to use HGH because I think it’s an idiotic crutch of a trait), but post-patch, I feel more useless than I have ever been.
I can no longer push zerg lines to deny area in WvW. I can no longer hit and run to harass groups. Everything that I found enjoyable about my Engineer is gone, and all I’m left with is “stand at the back and spam Grenade skill 1”.
I’ve remained committed to my Engineer despite nerf after nerf. Hell, my motto when they nerfed grenades 30% was “then I’ll just play 30% better”. But after this patch, I can’t see a point investing any more time in an Engineer.

So people understand where I’m coming from: My build. Not full bunker, not full attacker, not cookie cutter, but definitely a ton of fun, and now ruined.

For once, you can get cc’d in endure pain/stone signet but not while being in mist form or elixir s…
I main an engi and I can definitely say that elixer S was over the top. It felt cheap to be able to pop it, swap to nades, and proceed to spam a group to death with almost no repercussions. I still use it because invulns / stability / stealth is invaluable, but it’s just purely defensive now.
Ele’s mist form had a similar problem where it could be used to near – completely recover from a number of bad choices, and left little options for counterplay for their enemy.
As others have said, a warrior can pop endure pain and still be killed by conditions, or controlled by CC. Mesmer’s distortion is the only one that not only grants invuln but still allows actions, but then again is a special class ability. I don’t play mesmer, so I’m not going to try to weigh in on that.

But removing being able to heal under Elixir S is way too harsh a nerf (especially considering Elementalists can still heal in Mist Form).

Read what i say, it strong but it is a skill that is traited on 2 major traits no like ele cantrip build that hard to die, mesmer can die quite easily. Don’t bring Phantasm mesmer in the disccussion pls, they are not traited and their a totally different build if you want to account to 1v1 op with lots of survivability.
