I think he’s trying to say that going to stealth needs some punishment such as letting your enemy get out of combat if you go into stealth? Is that what you’re trying to say

As long as the thief goes out of combat as well.

It would be nice but yeah it would take the thief OOC as well so then it would be worse than it is currently.

Even if other guy gets OOC and the thief doesnt, whats the point? Extra move speed wont help you trying to guess where the thief went, nor will it help you recapture the point faster after the thief disengaged.

This whole thing just seems like a hell of a lot of trouble for pretty much nothing. I dont see Anet wasting resources into this.

i forgot there is caping thing still in pvp.

what i get is healing when ooc. this would keep the pressure on thief. make them use stealth strategically, not at will.

anyway… just a thought.

Bad players die to spammy thieves, while good ones do not.

Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on your perspective), most thieves are spammy thieves, using the exact same attack over and over again. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to see a thief spam Heartseeker over and over again while I’m near full health.

EDIT: oh yeah, and @OP: this idea is so awful, I can hardly believe that you aren’t just trying to troll us right now.

I actually don’t really hate this idea, if the target is invisable longer than 5 seconds and the target gets ooc, it would be a little imba at first before thiefs adapt. But it would even out 1v1s for classes who don’t have a pull or a knock back vs refuge.

I can see the rage and hate comming from the class coming in but if you think about it, it would be a reason to buff their burst again.

and on a plus it wont effect, hit -> invis, hit -> invis builds, in addition it would give some chase play to WvW since Stealth = more speed and almost impossible to catch.

To top it all off mesmers would never argue for a longer than 5 sec c/d stealth.
