What is going on. First I’m sorry for my bad English. It’s been more then 2 months that I specalize in PVP and only in pvp. I enjoy pvp.
Why people like pvp not in gw2 but why people like pvp.
If you ever played chess you know the feeling. (I’m the best, i crashed you, I’m beter then you, I’m smarter) Well this is my caracter. I enjoy being beter then others. This is why i love pvp. Beat other people, that makes me feel good.
Perssonaly i don’t really care much about team play if I’m the best alone. Sure i like win as a group. But there is no bigger sadisfaction then being able to be the best on my own.

Pvp in gw2 is in 65% “paper/rock/scissors” a>b, b>c, c>a
Winning against another betwen player that are experienced is in 65% in ( build, class, weapon, utility skills)
Why is there only 35% of skills required to win in 1 on 1? there is no way a determinate type of class and build wins against me. There is like no way. Only in rare cases that they got lucky because i lower my guard.
And there are builds that are for me nearly inpossible to beat.

Question: You guys think that is balanced?
I really get the feeling to be playing a Paper/rock/scissors game.
The hole point of me doing pvp is to be the absolute the best against everyone. And considerating my skills and experience in pvp lossing because someone has a “anti my build build” just pisses me off.

Another problem is downed system. In tournaments you have this pros that keep resurecting eachother for ages… I like the downed system, but is OP the system. Atlest you could do to be able to be resurected only once every 10minutes.
And if you get resurected you can’t resurect another at full speed… like 50% slower.
(you were wounded, its even logical-.-)

I beg you to get as the ARENA. Why, o why arenaNet, why you can’t give as duels??? We beg for it, we want it. We even go in browser doing duels just to be interupted by everyone else coming in the room.
We love to be the best only us not as a team, it’s the human nature, to be competitive, beign good in a team come only after being the best on our own! . Atlest in most of humans it’s like this.
I will quote what ArenaNet sad (No egos, no prima donnas, no rock stars; just people you respect and enjoy working with.)

*Everybody want’s to be a rock star
*I don’t know what is prima donnas.

Maybe you don’t want to give as duels until you make the 1 on 1 more good?

Another thing in pvp. There is only Tournament to play and browser to get bored in or farm glory.
Why aren’t you adding Arenas??
Like tournaments for 1 on 1? that would be lovly amazing, gorgeus. Like 80 people.
And duels?
Capture the flag?
Death match?
Castle wars? (take under siege a castle and try to take it) Or (Defend from the siege) Or even 2 castles and fight .

And………
PVE!! adding…wait for it….DUELS, yess WE want duels.
PVE!! Meaking certain points on the map BATTLEGROUND, yes meaking a lovely battleground .or Idk… like a patches in the future, making parts on some maps that can do PK.
PVE!! We want, MOUNTS.
You probably have no idea how much we want this things.

Another question, When was getting the game, i was expecting a more player versus player oriented game………………. Everyone wanted this since the begining of online games times, AND THAT IS THE REASON ONLINE GAMES BECOME POPULAR!
So why do you tried so hard to make the game a single player if is multyplayer?

I want a competitive game where i can be the best against everyone if I’m the best, not to be forced to change build and weapons depending on who i wan’t to fight and what role i want to fight.
You wanted to get rid of holy trinity. Well you created a new holy system that took the place of holy trinity, i would call it Holy Paper/rock/scissors system.

Ps. Well if you play against a guy that is not experienced and is using a kind of build that is “made for crush yours”, well i will win anyway, because he is noob .

If you play against a skilled and experienced level, even if is not pro, and is using the right build and weapon set, you are in a lot of trubles.

Team Vs Team, well my only complain is about down state reviving and reviving and reviving. Just make that 1 player can be revived only once every 10 minutes. And once is revived can not revive another player with usual speed.

Arenas are of lowest priority as was said in talk with John.
You can allready do duels asking for player to go empty room and 1on1 him there, you cannot spectate/matchmake at any way now, so it is main priority.
1on1 dueling is not main nor it should be.

And yes builds countering builds is allright.
Just make build that counters most of other buids possible.

This game is all about how you spec your character. If you focus too much on one aspect then of course you will have vulnerabilities. It sounds like you think too highly of yourself and have the mindset that if you are beaten by a player that it must be a flaw in the game. If you find a weakness in your character that often gets you killed then a readjustment is in order, or perhaps a different profession would suit you better. There isn’t one profession/build that can be almighty or else everyone would take it. Part of being a skillful player is knowing your weaknesses and preventing others from exploiting them.

Also, I can only hope that one on one PvP isn’t a concern for the development team, especially not at this point. The game is called GUILD Wars – team battles is the focus. If you don’t want to be part of a team and only want to kill other players to make yourself feel good then this isn’t the game for you.

Arenas should be the highest priority. Capture the node is not fun most people tend to hate those kinds of game modes it was the least played mode in GW1 and once arenas came out in WoW the numbers clearly showed people liked arena alot more then the existing capture the node content.

Arenas a single game mode turned WoW into nothing more then a PvE game into a legit PvP game with a huge PvP population and the arena side is still going strong.

What i find confusing is I think GW1 modes that had capture to win were the least played and most hated. Perhaps im wrong and all the GW1 fans liked capture mode the best maybe thats why its the only mode in GW2.

I didn’t play WoW at all and I didn’t play GW1 all too much so I’m not certain what you mean by ‘arenas’ but GW2 definitely could use some more S-PvP game modes, as long as they are team based.
