95% of 4vs5 games were caused by people raging IN GAME and then dcing/afking.

Now you have to sit at your pc waiting for a pop. Cant go toilet. Cant get a drink. Cant make a sandwich. It is a complete and utter JOKE.

I hate it so much. please get rid of it. It is literally the bane of my life as far as this game is concerned currently.

or maybe steal 15-30 seconds from the ‘waiting for players’ section and add it instead to the pre-match ready timer

Don’t queue if you need to use the restroom. It’s simple as that.

personally i always take my break right after clicking ready. if its something i need more than 1 minute ish for then i leave queue

I uploaded you a vid. Id had a large number of ready up screens that people had missed when I started recording.

Problem is the longer a match takes to start the more people miss the ready up button. After a while someone else goes afk, missing the next one. This creates a snowball effect and pretty soon you’ve been queuing for a match for 8mins +

To me, it sound like you are the exact reason I want that button. I do not want players on my team, off using the restroom, getting drinks, or snacks, completely afk and allowing us to get behind in the beginning of a match.

You don’t even what? No one taught you to use the restroom before you started something?

Are we talking about the “Queue Popped” button or the “I’m ready!” button inside the match once it actually starts?

If the former, we definitely need to keep it. If the latter, I agree we can just dump the “I’m ready!” button because there’s always somebody who never readies up, making us all wait another 1.5 mins needlessly. :P

Dudes the ready up button sucks so badly. How can you all not see it???

The ready-up button was actually the best part of the entire pvp patch.

Thank you for these stats that are absolutely not made up. It’s extremely rare to have 4v5s now, whilst according to you their number should have decreased by 5%. Therefore, the ready-up button is here to stay.

Seriously, Anet is kitten ed if they do and kitten ed if they don’t. “We want a ready-up button because it will cut down on 4v5s!!!” and I’m sure you’re one of the people who asked for it as you LOOOVE to complain about EVERYTHING and yet, here you are asking for it to be removed.

I can’t disagree more. I’ve seen soooooo many less 4 v 5s since the introduction of this feature. Not only that, but now your whole team is put in the game at the same time, whereas before, you’d have people staggering in, often at the last second. This makes it a lot easier to communicate before the match starts.

As for you…deal with your sandwich and toilet issues before you queue. Once you queue, just alt+tab and browse the web. You’ll be notified when the queue pops.

That sucks dude. I want to queue and then do all this. Even if I am back 30s too late who really cares? It is a GAME. It doesn’t MATTER. It should be fun and should not restrict me to sit by my pc waiting for some queue pop. Used to always just queue up then go afk for a while with occasional checks to see if I popped. Losing that is incredibly frustrating and has reduced my enjoyment of the game considerably.

It is an utterly kittened mechanic they set in place. Just can not believe it hasn’t been removed yet. Then again they take years to change minor things.

What has all that got to do with the Ready Up Button?

Post is 2 years old….

Thread didn’t really need bumped up but people need to queue to get a match. There is the sound effect so you can be afk, hear it and get back to the PC to accept. If you really can’t accept that then there’s always the custom arenas.

Or if it’s the ready option with the 90 second countdown. If for any reason you need to be AFK you have the choice to not click yes for ready. You’ll know the match will start only after the timer has ran out even if 9/10 have clicked yes.
