premades now proud of beating solo´s
In this system =
You make a team premade (same ranks 40+)
= U win all times vs solo q´s.
thats just a fact.
As with all competitive environments, those who take losing badly, instead of as a challenge, dont belong anyways. Moot point, seems to me..

if the playing field is not fair, no loss or win will ever mean what it should. a loss is no longer an instruction, and a win is no longer challenging.
the gap between equally skilled pug and premade is too wide in this game to allow it to continue.

Not sure what you mean. The playing field is as level as it can get. The onus is on the player…
Edit: sure, in a perfect world all matchups would be perfectly paired. The only thing worse than bad matchups is sittng in a queue with no matchup at all.. timeless problem in all games.
Whats your proposed solution?

op is talking about premades playing with people who solo queue. a pug group of rank 40+ vs a premade team r40+ are not at all on the same level. the difference in communication is enormous. that is why there should be a solo queue.
i was in a 5v5 yesterday where we were celebrating because we beat the 5 guild members on the opposite team and we were all solo-kittens.
So it does happen lol

Once I won 4v5 (we were all solo queuers) against a full premade team (they were noobs), so yeah, it can happen, but it doesn’t mean this system is not broken tho.

If all these people complaining about losing to premades care so much about winning why not form your OWN premade... ..

ATM top teams and solo players asking for separation. Only players from bad teams (ppl with team but without skill) need to stomp solo quer’s.
So what we got here:
- top teams/players asking for separate queue
- solo players asking for separate queue
- bad teams/players do not want to change anything
So if we dont change anything, only only few bad teams/players will stay.

if you guys cant play without advantage, why dont you consider playing WoW or some other game where you can buy advantage for real money???

why is everyone ignoring the fact that rank means nothing in mmr? tell me, why?
a team with R10+ might have the same rating as a R40+

Your idea is right. But the game provides no real indicator of skill. So the only thing that can be seen is the rank. Ergo: A-Net had missed to implement an early ladder.

Not sure if GW2 has enough active teams for a complete separation atm. We’d be back to square one with only few active teams always playing against each other. I believe if the rating system is indeed working correctly, things should fix themselves over time. For example, I sometimes do a few tournies apart from my regular team with my random PvE guildies. They are nowhere near experienced or skilled in tpvp, but it’s a nice change from PvE environment for them and a fun experience for a guild activity. Should that kind of “premade” be considered above a high rank soloq team and due to that only face competent real teams who are way above their skilllevel?
Rank is only an indication of time and not skill sadly, more so since people farm it in hotjoin like crazy. I’ve seen some godawful rank47+ and some amazing 20-25+ players.

The problem is that PvP is still in the early Alpha-cycle. Nothing is set (e.g. Removing tickets completely, QP’s for what?). We can say A-Net messed it up and they have not really a plan to change it in the right direction. What’s left are the people that never played PvP actively before. They have some fun left for it because they get some new gears and rewards. But for the others who started the game with pvp (all the guild-teams) theres no reward and no amibition at the moment, to continue playing active.
Ergo: You have not enough ppl for a seperation.
Never said i need to play with advantage.
But to stop the endless QQ’ing from people who got stomped 5 minutes ago by premade’s, alt+tabbed to cry on forums. U can just create a team yourself until the problem does get fixed. U know A-net, this will probably take months, if it comes at all.

I really don’t see why this is such a big issue to people. I play tournies with my guild but it’s a fairly large/active guild so I don’t run with any particular set of people or comps or whatever. It’s more or less like an extended friends list. And outside of the first few days after the patch where everybody’s ratings got reset I’ve been matched mostly with teams, occasionally they might have 1 PUG and most matches are fairly competitive.
I think people get discouraged just because they see a premade. If you only solo queue, and the premade only queues together and you’re both collectively equal in rating, you should have a 50% chance to win if the matchmaking is correct. The fact they might have communication/synergy or whatever is counterbalanced by the likely higher individual skill of each solo queuer in the other group.
People also have no idea how the matchmaking system works, e.g. if there is some sort of adjustment based on the proportion of the team that is premade.
People need to stop being such kittencats.
It’s too often that people say something to the effect of “OH MY KITTEN <some player> IS ON THE OTHER TEAM OMG GG GIVE UP CY@”
What are you going to complain about when you start losing to solo queue teams?
Additionally; take your loses with some dignity / a grain of salt. Just do the best button pressing you know how and move on to the next game. If you played against 5 strong players and got wrecked, then find some small victory in what happened, like griefing Powerr or Ostrich Eggs. If you didn’t get wrecked and lost by 150 points or so, it’s really not that big of a deal and your team performed admirably against your enemy.
If you want to feel like a superstar; play hotjoins all day.
I wish I had composed this post well enough for it to have some implied promise of parting wisdom, the lack of which would force you to grow up a little – which is what you need to do.

I don’t know why anyone still bother to mention eSports in Guild Wars 2. It’s quite obvious that there’s nothing structured about sPvP. It’s a good beta game at most. So just take what you can get from it, or leave it alone. Because it’s not going to change anytime soon..
