1) Revenant- Staple damage
2) Elementalist- Staple heal bot
3) Scrapper- Staple bruiser
4) Mesmer- Staple Moa
5) Necromancer- Staple boon corruption
6) Druid- Staple rez bot compete with necro most likely for spot
7) Thief- Depends on the team could potentially make an appearance
8) Dragon hunter- Alternative dps
9) Warrior- Berzer lol couldn’t finish

mesmer, ele and rev on first.
Scrapper, necro and druid second.
Thief on third.
DH fourth.

I dont think we are going to see warrior that often. So Im not really listing it.
But maybe apex will surprise us again.

Im not a friend of elitism either but…thats kinda what pro leaque is for. Por leaque means maximazation. Pro leaques are the raids of pvp.
If you want bro leagues, you should probably look for community-driven tournaments.

To the op: seems pretty reasonable. I dont think, we will se many rangers in place of necros. Maybe in place of scrappers, but I dont really expect that either.
And the teams who use a dh over anything else wont last long…

I mean their elitist attitudes towards average players on display in ranked S2 matchmaking threads.

My prediction is that each team’s going to have the following:

(1) Rev
(2) Reaper
(3) Tempest
(4) Scrapper
(5) Either Mesmer, Druid, DH (to counter mes), or Thief (in descending order of frequency)

Nah, mesmer has become too important. It is not as easy to play or powerful as a reaper, but they are extremely useful to counter the opness of other classes. Moa is the best if not the only way to easily shut down an ele.
Reapers are great in lower and mid tiers, but they really start to weaken.
A lot of players have been getting used to them, more cleanses and aoe cleanses are being run. And if you focus them in a teamfight they fall pretty fast.

There is no question about it…

rev = dmg
ele = heals
engi = damage and sustain (less dmg but more sustain than rev)
mesmer = portal
5th could one of two things: Thief = mobility & damage spike… Necro = anti ele/engi

Any team sporting a guardian, ranger, or warrior will likely win few if any games.

Warrior skills have too many tells, the only builds with quick skills are condition builds but it is easy enough to counter

Ranger is know as the rez bot but ANY decent team who keeps track of the ranger can counter S&R easily

Guardian is just too easy to counter play on any profession, the skill cap is only so high for that class

My guess would be that every single team will use:
1) Revenant
2) Elementalist
3) Necromancer

Almost every team will use:
1) Engineer.
The only reason I say almost every team is because we saw orange logo running necro/druid/mesmer/ele/rev in the challenger cup after they lost their first game so maybe engineer will not be a completely necessary class.

Teams will probably use one of the following classes if they use an engineer, if not they will use both:
1) Druid.
2) Mesmer.

To be honest I doubt that we will see any thieves, dragon hunters or warriors although I would love to see teams try some sort of crazy composition involving these classes that could actually work for them.

You can only have one of each class this season so teams can not run double revenant. If they were allowed to though, yeah I think you would be about right.

I would be shocked if almost every team didn’t run: Rev, Ele, Engi, Necro, Mesmer with a possible ranger subbed for Mesmer/engi.
