probably the best suggestion ever
I approve this. An eSports orientied free to play game with easy access for new players and rewarding systems for the best of them promise a high amount of cash generated through advertises and microtransactions. I heard ArenaNet likes cash as any other company does. I can’t believe why so few companies understand that.
Would take like 2 years to develop if they put all the current PvP projects on-hold.
because gratitude is a burden and revenge a pleasure.”
Hats for everyone!!! i would play this game 24/7 if i could get dem sweet hats

This IS the best idea, unfortunatly it will never happen as Harrier put it.
At this rate, i would take the SPVP system and outsource it to another company thats better suited to run it. But i’m sure theres legal reasonings and the fact they dont want to lend out their engine due to it being connected to their MMO…
But sadly, its a great pvp system…the CONCEPT is amazing. The game engine is amazing…. it needs full dedication from a development team and a freetoplay model that involves buying cosmetics…..its working for atleast 2 other incredibly successful titles.
Heres smart words from SOE (company that makes everquest franchise) head John Smedly regarding why you want free to play. [Taken from recent interview from Gamastura]
*While not all of the players that join in end up paying for anything, Smedley doesn’t mind. He sees them as additional game content, which is a good point. After all, who wants to play an empty game? It’s one of SOE’s core design strategies moving forward according to Smedley. In his opinion, developers will lose the content battle with players.
In my opinion, the days when companies can make content [generation] the number one strategy, in the kinds of games we make, are over, because we can’t win the war. Star Wars [The Old Republic] proved that. Players bought it, loved it and they played the game. Then they left."*
Listen to your competition Arenanet, got a couple HUGE anticipated mmo’s right around the corner (possibly the end of this year). And they see the mistakes your making, and they’re taking it into account.
