When you overhaul a system people are going to initially build for as much damage as they can possibly do. From there two adjustments are made. First, players will start to adjust their builds and play styles to combat against this, second adjustments to skills will be made.

Patience is needed by players and caution by the developers to not overly adjust.

^And when a zerk meets another zerk they 1-2 shoot themself. Who first land wins. Theres not even time to bait out dodges and cc people when all you have to do is land few auto to rekt someone. But i believe low skill people enjoys that.

This is one of those situations where im glad I went the other way. Instead of improving my rangers offense I went through some trouble improving its defense while maintaining its old damage. End result is im pretty resistant to alot of the heavy burst builds that are running around right now.

I feel people will end up falling into builds that fit there playstyle fairly quickly. Youl have the hyper bursters. And the more sustained damage focused players that take that extra bit more defense in order to turn the burst fights into attrition fights. Its curious to see how itl all end up.

People are trying out glass cannon builds so it all seems like madness right now. In reality, things are very close to where they were before the patch. Once people start traiting more defensively when they get tired of dying instantly, the mad dps will stop.

Also ppl lost w/e defensive stats they had on trait lines… And stop waste those dodges as repositioning or gym acrobatic show off, cause mostlikely u wont have the energy when u need it ( vigor nerf). It became more timing based if u are squishy.. u have to react faster… before u could tank dmg and then "oh let me pop my heal, few heal blasts and/or some shouts, ok im back to full, and their skills are on cd… let my burning bleed/poison sigils finish him off while i run arround with my troll face)

Timing of dodges/blocks/invuls are extremely important, more so now than ever lol.

If you miss even ONE in this current burst heavy meta, youre done. like seriously, you will DROP in 2 seconds if you mess up a dodge or block
