Stop complaining, pvp has no real gold sinks. If you want gold on pve farm level go pve farm. While I admit it’d be nice to have higher income for being higher ranked, the new system is a great starting base and is adjustable. But as I said before, if you really feel that you need gold go join pve champ farm or buy gems or something.

at the moment, daily PvE only gives 5s, while monthly PvE gives 50s?

maybe 50s for daily PvP and 5g for monthly PvP?

Single tpvp match= 15minutes;

In teams I have been in and also on youtube as proof;
CoF p1=9mins
Arah p3=16 minutes
TA UP= 17 min
HoTW p1=21 min
Full queensdale champ run=6 min

All of these dungeons produce minimum 1G/tokens and champ run produces chance of loot drops. The dungeon rewards provide armor at no cost and can be used to obtain weapons for mystic RnG precursor chance.

If you can’t be bothered to leave PvP for 10-20 minutes per day and earn gold currency quickly, that is no ones fault but your decision to not do so. I have seen people state they’ve played 2900 hours of pvp. If they reduce that number to 2000 hours they’d be rank 58 instead of 66 and have 900 gold/tokens/weapons. If they want gold, they didn’t balance their time right. Next they’ll want fractal relics/obsid shards/karma. It comes down to player desire. If you desire having a high rank, then dedicate your time to that. If you would like some/little gold..then dedicate some/little time to those ends. No one made anyone persist at PvP..it was the players choice to do so. Now they seem angry that they did and now want retroactive rewards and rewards on par with what people have that did balance their time to work on all game aspects.

These titles are no where near as high as some people, but that is because I divided my time and didn’t kitten myself by playing only one aspect only so I never got any rewards from any other aspect of the game. Currency has been introduced which is overall good for the game and all it’s players. It means people like myself who try to play all aspects still keep moving towards goals no matter the path, but a lot of ppl seem angry that if they stick to only one aspect they don’t get rewarded as diversely as players who mix it up.

If you want better/best rewards..make that your goal and stop flogging the pvp horse to death that your not getting a percursor and you feel you deserve one and that you should be as rich as every other above average time invested player.

I don’t care if I get gold, I just hoped it would give an incentive to PvE players to play PvP and that would increase the population and viewer numbers. The only feature that does that in the next patch will be the lvling Tomes (maybe).

Sorry mate, but everyone should have right to play the game different way than you like to do.

I do agree that pvp doesn’t need to give equal amount of rewards compared to dungeons but it definetly should give you something for those who like to do pvp instead of dungeons.

Doing dungeons shouldn’t feel like a punishment and doing pvp shouldn’t feel like punishment either.

The way it is currently punishes people who like to just pvp for fun were it actual spvp or wvw both, the income isn’t enough to provide reasonable advancement in rest of the game like if you focus your time on doing fractals or dungeons whatever.

I think the system they’re going to be bringing in looks somewhat reasonable though. We’ll see.

I get why devs don’t want to make pvp the ultimate gold farming spot, and i agree.

In the livestream we have seen the gold prices of pvp stuff and the gold gain from matches is fairly balanced with those costs. A full set goes from 2,5 to 40g, which is around 15 tpvp fights for the first. That’s perfectly fine.

The only problem, which is not yet considered, is that a lot of pve stuff can be needed in pvp. Dyes are every day more expensive, last time i checked on abyss it was 40g. Gold income should take in account this too, since the dye gain from pvp is very, very low. Pve players can convert spare golds into gems, a thing that in pvp you won’t be able to do without passing on the actual pvp rewards to stack the amount of gold (80 gold for 800 gems soon, probably) needed for the conversion.

I’m not saying that a 15 min match should award 1g+ as a 15 min dungeon, but 25 silver for a soloq and 30 for a team arena sounds really low compared to the gold income you can have grinding a few pve contents.

A good idea could be doing something similar to dungeons, first time for a given path gives you more, and then less. Maybe 60s → 40s → 30s for a team arena?

The purpose of gold in matches is like a cool reward. It’s not meant to be a farm to replace PvE farms. It’s more like a bonus. The gold rate is great. The rewards are great.

Same. I just started PvP a couple of weeks ago and did so despite having not much gold or gear because it’s simply more fun. (Well, when there’s a close match anyway.)

Excluding the farming spots, players don’t get much gold in general pve. Events and story instances are not that rewarding in this aspect. So getting 12.5 – 25 silver per solo queue match is worth about as much as playing pve “casually”, and especially a lot more than low-level pve.

I think the current income is fine, but I wouldn’t mind if it could be scaled by merit. For example, extra coins for higher ranks/ ladders, extra coins for in-match top players, etc.

Even if this probably doesn’t affect a lot of the people, but you also should mention that you can enter sPvP as soon as you are level 2.
In the lower levels, 12s is more than you will get for a lot of the quests/items in PvE.

I agree with this. Once you buy the Tomes of Knowledge and get to 80 you can start farming, get geared, level up crafting, etc.
