how does hammerfall fit in with their goal of making this game an ‘esport’ when the map is purely class based and classes that lack knockback/fearspam are essentially worthless?

to add on that note, ‘not everyone hates it’ because some classes love it. who doesn’t love fearing people off tiny ledges for easy points and win? thats why whenever you get that place in arena, you see half the people hate the map and half the people cheer.

Yes it makes it difficult to search once a thread moves off the first few pages.
BTW-I agree that cheesehammer should not be in soloqueue; but an even better feature would be a “ready” prompt 20 secs or so before any solo queue game pops so players can decline (after seeing what map has popped). I believe that is pretty standard fare in competitive games like dota.
Forum search function needs a QOL improvement look into.
On the actual topic, skyhammer is not an enjoyable map. Why? Because in contrast to all the other maps, it requires players to have to take into account fall damage death, which, for the most part, requires specialized builds. If this was the ONLY additional mechanic, it might not be so bad, but throw in the overly large, and not dodgeable skyhammer…. well you have a thoroughly unenjoyable map. Especially considering zone control is so important, forcing the player to get out of the skyhammer targetted area, or be punished with around 10k dmg is pretty ridic.

Sidenote: I think what we all need to do is make engies with net turret, rifle, and ze pull. nothing more fun than just spamming emmobs until one lands for free skyhammer kills.

On the point of creating new threads vs using old ones? Darned if you do, darned if you don’t. I’ve see people get in trouble for creating new threads, and I’ve seen people get in trouble for “necroing” by posting in a thread that’s not on the first 2 pages. It’s very confusing for us players to know what the proper procedure is here.
