Since my team quit didn’t really feel like putting up the effort to find another one and solo quing when premades/soloers both joined same tournies was brutal. So I’m just asking how is the solo Q? does it pop frequently, even late at night?
I play an engy-i presume solo Q meta is different, and I have been gone for months-whats a good current way to spec the engy.
edit: OH , and is anvil rock still the server you want to be on?
People tend to cry about it quite a lot, to me personally it’s fine, it’s definitely the best solo pvp experience you could ever get in this game by now… I could never stand Hot-join for example and I couldn’t stand playing against a premade with my random team either.
I don’t want to sound like solo q is perfect, but you should also be mindful to the fact, that MOST people that QQ about it on the forum, QQ beacuse of
a)their inability to adapt
b)and/or inability to accept defeat.
*a) The result of their inability to adapt is usually manifested on these forums as topics in which they cry about how OP <insert class> is. ATM the ones crying are mostly necro players that feel bad because they are getting owned by warriors.

Right I mean , there is always people complaining about balance. ( and sometimes legitimately). When I left ele’s were OP and warriors under powered.
I guess maybe what I am asking is are engies decent at solo Q and what are the current builds people play for them in spvp solo tournies.
I find engis perfectly viable. Most people play the pistol/shield + bombs, grenades build. Google for Teldo’s build for example if you want to see the full build.
HGH grenade engi is ok too imo… I’ve seen a few other builds that seemed viable, even saw some crazy burst build around lately…

Ya ill do that. I guess I asked here because this is where SPVPErs are. They might have more specific advice for me. 99% of the people on the class forums seem to be pvers/wvw type.
The mechanics of solo Q are pretty great. The community, however, is terrible.
GW2, by in large, has a much friendlier player-base than most MMOs. However, if you were ever wondering where the jerks were hiding, spend a few games in solo Q.
