After looking around and waiting for some time now, I’m rather surprised to see the lack of a serious sPvP community TeamSpeak. A couple have tried making a mumble server here and there but nothing ever seriously made to last for a good number of people.

If we can muster enough interest, I’d love to start up a community TS for everyone to use while Solo Qing, Team Qing, hotjoining, and learning from experienced players.

With new game modes on the horizon, I think sPvP could very well be on the rise in the very near future, and would love for everyone to be able to hop on a community TS for sPvP.

I’d love to hear other’s opinions as well as to whether they would find this useful and if they would find it to be a good idea or not. I’ll be out of town for the weekend, so I’ll leave this here and probably make the decision whether to put the TS up or not once I get back.

There are definitely a few for specific servers out there, but with the sPvP community being not notably huge to start with, I really feel like a server dedicated to sPvP would be great rather than splitting the players based off server. I’d imagine it would be considerably more inviting to newer players as well.

the manvil rock one is mainly for teams isnt it? I think you should do it ill be great to talk to people on your soloQ teams but I wonder if they’re actually gonna get on and talk to people o.o

It’s for anything to do with sPvP, it has random lobbies etc. If you want to create your own little nook some of the admins are kind enough to make you your own little retreat, or if the sPvP rooms are all full, to make more space. Come on in

I wish the manvil rock server was advertised a bit more.

I am running a few thinly used servers under non profit licence (or our fansite purposes), but Iam not sure if 500 slot would be enough :o)
Payed licence for more space is not that expensive. Anyway I would not pay it :—/ (around 200+USD/month – I am just a college student :P) but you could always recieve donations and hope for some generous users)

Well due to a little bit of interest peaked here and much interest outside this thread I’ve decided to go ahead and put up a bit of a test server. If we get this filled, I’ll gladly begin expanding it.

As I’ve said, I have nothing against the manvil server, but it would be really neat to be able to log on to TeamSpeak and see 30-40 people in various channels playing against each other, teams that know each other or just met. People in Solo que gging each other, and even just hotjoin.

I’ve been in Manvil TS a few times since you’ve proposed it, and the most I normally see is 3-4 peeps in a channel by themself where I can also assume they are already friends that know each other. Not exactly a warm welcome feeling. On top of that, there is 0 advertising for that server. Having a devoted TS server would really be great I think.

There have been a bunch of these set up over the course of time. Population may have gotten so low now that getting people in may just not work because no one is playing, but I bookmarked it anyway and I will hop in when I’m not already on another server anyway. Hopefully it can work. There have been a few community servers that had a really great community feel along the way.
