sPvP timeout/lag issues
I have yet to have any lag issues in sPvP over the past 3 weeks, it may be more localized that you may think, only effecting a select few.

It’s not localised, people on both sides of the Atlantic have been having issues, ranging from lag and skill activation delay, to mass disconnects. I personally am in the UK and play with a lot of central europeans and there have been nights when we were all having problems, so it’s definitely not localised to a specific country or ISP.

Its NOT localized. Look at the twitch streamers, ask in sPvP lobby. The game has been absolutely destroying gameplay in the last couple of weeks. For ranged classes it might not be a problem but I mostly play melee warrior/guardian and it kittenes me off when a well timed burst fails to connect and the game goes on a 5+s timeout instead. Not only that but I feel the lag and how sluggish my character reactions are to skill activation.
I would understand a couple of days but the problem has been going for weeks and has even escalated about two weeks ago.
A clean win ended as a 400/500 loss because from 350+ points forward I couldn’t move or activate any skills. Not only that but I didn’t even get the points I earned at the end just a juicy DC.
It’s no use. What is supposed to be fun turned into a nightmare. Will get back to sPvP only when issues get resolved.

My bf and I have been having the same issues for a while now. We both have decent computers and internet service and run the rest of the game completely fine, but occasionally experience lag spikes, rooted glitches, glitching into terrain, having our skills go on their full cooldowns without actually doing anything, and having our skills simply not activate even when we spam click them.
It’s not the standard lag that happens constantly and causes all sorts of rubber-banding and whatnot like usual, but if you pay attention, it is enough to change the tides of a pvp match sometimes.
Been pvping this whole week and I never experienced any lag..
