sPvP to be more like Call of Duty...
There is no money for a “complete overhaul”. The PvP team seems to be two people working on it fulltime, with a part-time manager who also does non-PvP tasks. At least that’s who shows up to talk about PvP when there are interviews and “talk shows”.

I was very concerned when I saw the last SOTG also.
My first thought was, the guy who is nerfing thieves has no idea what he is doing and why other than people complained on the forums so it warranted an action.
Just because people complain doesn’t mean it should change.
Karl McClain seemed like a nice guy but also very unsure of himself and most of what he was talking about. I don’t want a guy like that in charge of balance :/
Tyler seemed ok, but looks like johnathan has the ability to communicate better than the rest of them.
I can’t believe game modes/e-sport route is not their #1 priority over wvw or pve in this game.
I think I get what you are saying. You want more game types with leader boards. That I can enjoy but I would hate making it what Call of Duty (CoD) has become. I despise all the extra stuff that series has added: Abilities off of kill streaks, helicopters, air strikes, death streaks, etc.
Last time I played was during CoD4 on a server where they took out helicopters and airstrikes. I also played a lot of the deathmatch game mode where you capture point A and B while the other team defends. The right game mode can make a world of difference but all the first person shooters (FPS) these days add too much junk that ruin the game.

I’m not saying we add killstreaks, etc. I am saying they take the game mode diversity and apply to what gw2 already has.
Then it should be more like UT2k4.
Deathmatch, TDM, CTF, King of the Hill, Domination (worked different there), Assault (objective based), Siege.
Nothing should be like CoD, because it is CoD.
Yeah using CoD as an example probably doesn’t help your point. Also CaC has no place in this game (unless you are talking about saving builds, which is needed)
There are plenty of games with diverse game modes. I also hope GW2 is someday one of them. Everyone understands the concept of varied game modes – we don’t really need examples to clarify. What we need to do is convince the devs to add more sPvP modes, even if they start out with issues or are unbalanced. Something to change it up, to blow off steam, to try something even if it fails.

You shouldn’t juge someones competence at their job by how well they present themselves at such talks. I know I’d be stressed and a little uncertain if I had to partake in such a talk without actually having experience in PR or talking in front large crowds, as someone hired to do class balance and not customer relations might.
Yeah let’s get more snipers in here
More AWP and Deagle action
Good idea
If you get 25 kills in a row, you call in Zhaitan. He’ll turn everyone into Risen. The game ends, and your team automatically wins.
