i just dont understand why this season is worse than the last 2. anet, you have found away to dig yourself past the bottom of the barrel on season 3. no one saw it coming either. we all were trying to keep our hopes up bc we all knew you hit rock bottom in S2. what was your thinking? i mean i know your trying to control the meta by pushing elite specs and the removal of most of the def ammies, but why? please explain yourself to all of us bc we all still want to believe in you, but at this point we really cant trust you with your own game. do you all even have a team who’s soul job is to inform you about the forums and what the pop. is saying? if not, then it would explain why you all have no idea what your doing. i know some ppl will defend anet but lets face it, the game since HoT release has gone down hill. the elite specs being so OP that the vanilla players cant stand a chance in pvp, and that is a huge problem. also pushing almost every build to do condi dmg ( ele and druid are exempt bc they are forced to be support) is a joke. you are forcing classes to play 1 way to be effective and that doesnt promote build diversity at all. i honestly feel bad for all the vanilla players trying to get the back pack.

believe me anet when i say that i want to believe in you again. i want the game to be enjoyable again rather than the pain you have created.

I read the paragraph but I can’t figure out why you think s3 is worse, you keep saying elite spec but aren’t they there s2 and s1 too? So what made s3 worse for you?

UM, I saw it coming, I didn’t say it on the forum but I said it on Dulfy….Season 3 will be worse than season 1 and 2. And I guess I was right! ( even thought I’m not playing ranked cuz I don’t want a pvp tag anymore & I knew it’d be either the same or worse than S2 based on every update/ patch since release)

Vanilla players don’t stand a chance in PvP? I whole heartedly disagree. I use a Power Survival Ranger build and i always do well. I use condi pistols on my Engineer and i outperform my teammates who are using meta elite spec builds.

Sure, elite spec builds ARE overpowered in the game at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do well using a vanilla build.

I think this season is one of the best. Sure I do not climb the decisions faster but not slower this season and most classes are viable now. Matches are being more balanced. Condition damage and sustain at the same time is a little over the top but in my opinion, last seasons where worse.

Well I don’t know what hes referring to as worse but I was referring to matchmaking, ( I saw it coming) and based on the many many threads on it & all the raging in HoTm I’m agreeing, also a dev already said S3 matchmaking will be a combination of S1 and S2 before S3 even started so it was an automatic yup S3’s gonna blow and I was right IDC what you say I was right. Also the lobby in HotM is looking very empty compared to the way it usually looked before. So yea something is definitely very bad that hardly no 1 wants to play it anymore.

I don’t necessarily disagree with the point you’re trying to make, but I just want to point out that if I had a gold for every time I read that in the last three years, I’d be drowning in Legendaries.

I never had continuous lose games more than few in row in previous two seasons.
With this season I’ve reached more than 10 lose strikes.

It is true that only two builds seems to be left for a little enjoyable gameplay (builds that not require HoT) while on the whole rest people are forced to play condi builds.

As I am not in favour of playing condi builds, will be impossible to play solo arenas without frustration and hate towards everything and everyone.

It often ends up that I am blocked and reported tons of times and well, I can’t help it.

I will give a feedback later on, from games played in 5s team of my kind.

The only thing that hurts is low build diversity. And this is a long term motivation problem. A game like GW needs diversity to keep a good playerbase.

I don’t understand. The meta builds for thief, ele, ranger, engineer and revenant are not condi-based. Guardian, even if it’s not meta, has a strong power-based build. That’s two third of the professions. Nobody is forcing you to play mesmer, and if you want to play warrior or necro, power alternatives are viable in the MMR bracket you play in. Sure, you face condi builds often, and you need to think about it when crafting your build, but you are really not forced to play condi to be effective.
