Anet to sort much out at the moment and how they decided to change my classes mechanic without putting it in the patch notes, further proving they are just slowly removing thief from the entire game,

I need a new main.

2.8k hours went into my thief, now im far from the best player – though deffo not a n00bz press 2222222 and 555555555 – but most of my time is from wvw solo roaming, gvg FP, and PvP over the last 2 years.

part of me is tempted by ele but im not so sure.

Try out Berserker warrior. They’re all the rage these days. (Pun intended)

Ele was my first class and is currently decked out in full celestial ascended with ascended staff and triforge in PvE and WvW and sometimes celestial and berserker dagger (switch out ‘zerker for Viper for better burning yields?) It’s a good class but managing all those abilities has a decent skillcap to it. Celestial is overall the best stat set for it because it’s a class that makes the most out of all the stats. Water for healing power, fire for condition damage, power, ferocity, and crit, earth for condition damage and defense, and ele has good overall interrupts, mobility, and gap closers.

Personally, I’d recommend Warrior, Ele, or reaper Necro.

If you want to be unbeatable go for Revenant/Herald, you have 3 months before nerfhammer so use it until then.
