should we have a fractured map?
Don’t know how you would seemlessy patch them together even with the “jump between them” thing. Besides with all those mechanics even a 10v10 would struggle to do all of that, kind of wasting content.
Interesting concept and has potential just not sure this is the right way to implement it.
p.s. What happens when a new map comes out? It won’t be apart of this and then it kind of defeats the purpose of having a “slice of every map” . I’m pretty sure anet isn’t gonna update the map every time either because mechanics and terrain would change which could create implications.

errr if its a bit too big then maybe need to cut down the size a bit.
the general idea is to have a larger map catered for 16 – 20 players.

hmmm why not? there are already enough “tournament” or “arena” maps going around.
only one “raid on the capricorn” is not in the solo arena or team arena map rotation so i see that as a “playground” map for casual sPvP players.

Well, maybe in a MOBA style map:
teams get one base each. The goal is to destroy the enemy base. Each team has a “cannon” that puts particular objects in the area. These objects spawn enemies, that head to the enemy base.
Then you can make different limitations, add towers and so on.

Then you can make different limitations, add towers and so on.
a special cannon that launches “friendly NPC spawning machines” into various locations into the map. sounds interesting.
maybe some new asuran cannon?
launches a mini golem factory into the air, flies up high, then lands down hard, like those warhammer 40k space marines space pods, i.e. doing massive AOE damage upon landing, launching everything 1,200 away?
then it will produces golems automatically until destroyed?
or at least until its supply is drained, and team members have to re-supply it?
how does that sound?

aw, come on, the map would be big enough for you to play on the non skyhammer areas right?
say for example, the skyhammer cannon can only target areas around B.
the glass panels and all would be also near skyhammer B part too.

it has been a while but i am sure there are other players who desire such a large map for good chaotic fun!

currently all existing maps are designed for 5 vs 5 players and feel very cramped.
what we don’t want in maps:
NPCs
(perhaps objectives like Lords and Svanir/Chieftain,
but not simply for combat like Crapricorn sharks)
Cheap Enviromental Weapons
(looking at you skyhammer and trebuchets.)
Troll Playgrounds
(ledges made purely for troll builds to stealth and knock enemies from.)
(Skyhammer in a nutshell)
Water Combat
(it just doesn’t work…though i have no doubt they’ll probably release an entire map of water combat…)
an idea for the next map would be to add a pit in the center,
and any kills made in that pit add 10-15 points for your team.
or just make that the entire map and don’t add any conquest points, TDM!

kinda like the meditation of ferocity except that it is stationary and is always activated in a particular area.
well, for the rest of the “do not wants” i think they are better off in non tournament maps.
let casual players run wild in the non tournament maps and let the tournament players practice in tournament maps.
everyone is happy, yes?

well, all the current maps seems to be well designed for 5 vs 5 tournament play, at least that is what i think.

aye, yeah, kinda like that. but eotm is for PvE WvW characters though. and too large scale, too zergy.
maybe something for sPvP characters, and not so big the map, but larger than current conquest maps for 10 vs 10 sPvP hotjoin mess.
a map that hotjoin players will want to play in.
then perhaps people will stop blaming hotjoin players for bad tournament games experience as the maps are different.
